@@saab4545yes he says that according to a sahih hadith by H Ayesha (RA) the holy prophet (pbuh) used to pray 3 rakah together without sitting down in the 2nd rakat. I guess in sunni masajid it is taught to sit down in 2nd rakat and in wahabi masajid it is believed to not sit down according to the sahih and authentic hadith. if you sit down in the 2nd rakat you should also do tasleem and then pray another rakat by sitting down after qunoot and rukuh.

Rakah normal with fatiha and a surah, u go to ruku, sajdah, sujud than u go straight up without sitting and say taslim when ur standing without attahiyat? Than u go up and say ,,allahu akbar" recite fatiha with surah and than qunoot and finish with attahiyat in sitting position with taslim? Or is this wrong?

@viktordrago9749 The first two rakats you pray are similar with fajr prayer, end your prayer with salam alaikum at both right and left. After that, stand and pray 1 rakat with a fatiha, surah, and qunoot dua if you want. End the prayer with salam alaikum at both sides.

Sahih al-Bukhari 993 Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Night prayer is offered as two rak`at followed by two rak`at and so on, and if you want to finish it, pray only one rak`a which will be witr for all the previous rak`at." Al-Qasim said, "Since we attained the age of puberty we have seen some people offering a three-rak`at prayer as witr and all that is permissible. I hope there will be no harm in it."

​@@ayshcandy7155 the better way is to not sit in the 2nd rakat and don't make witr look like Magrib prayer i also used to pray like you as i was taught but now i don't sit in the 2nd rakat You can either pray two rakat like fajar or 2 rakat nafal and then you offer salam and then you pray single rakat in which you ask dua after reciting Al-Fatiha and an additional Surah and in that rakat you sit and pray atahiyat darud e ibrahimi and your duas and they say salam The 2nd way is not to sit in the 2nd rakat and pray three rakat together

​@ayshcandy7155 assalamoalikum bro/sis, this is not actually the correct way as Prophet (p.b.u.h) said it is prohibited to perform witr as maghrib prayer so we shouldn't sit in second rakah as we also sit in the second rakah of maghrib so it's better to js sit in 3rd rakah as Prophet(pbuh) said, we shouldn't give importance to scholars if Prophet Muhammad s.a.w alr told us as to how to perform witr jazakallahukhairan

Important note- there is no such Hadith as stated by Dr. Zakir Naik in Sahih ibn Hibban/musnan ahmed- hadith number 2435,but there are various sahih hadiths of praying witr without sitting except in the last rak'ah

My doubt. At 05:54 ... Prophet prayed 8+5 total is 13 rakah. But in one hadeeth Aisha (R) says: even if in Ramzan or in other months Prophet did not exceed 11 rakah. ( I don't know exact words said in hadeeth) Anyone please help me clear my doubt.

This is what I perceived: Narrated by Aisha(r.a), The Prophet(pbuh) used to offer 13 rakat of night prayer and that included the Witr and 2 rakat(sunna) of Fajr prayer.. Source:Al bukhari-The book of Tahajjud

In Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi Hadith number 4083 I found this "Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that a woman came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: "If menstrual blood gets on the clothes of one of us, what should she do?" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "She should scratch it off, then wash it with water, then sprinkle water on it and pray in it." I'm confused, someone please help me

What I find strange is why there is even a difference in opinion on how one should perform witir. Isn't this something major and had already been clarified by the prophet (SAW) ? Or is it that the actual way one should pray witir wasn't preserved properly through the passage of time. Therefore, we have these different methods. One sheik telling you its okay to do it this way vs another telling you its incorrect.
