I still use the redstone handbook today, the 1.8 version has some really cool stuff like a fully automated potion brewing machine and a variable range TNT cannon. I can remember at school in 2016 I photocopied a kids copy of the book because I didn't have it at the time.

The redstone community is still alive and well and has been since its release. Honestly nowadays the outliers are people who don’t use redstone in their worlds at least a little bit.

I’m alright with redstome farms Automatic farms n stuff, sometimes I’ll try to make my own design and other times I’ll try and improve on the designs of others. I’m not the best but I’m alright. I recommend trying to learn how red stone works if you have some time. You’ll love it
