It’s 2020 and I still feel as strongly today as I did when I first learned of Roy Williamson’s passing that he was taken too young and has left a hole in Scottish traditional music that nobody will ever fill.

Ronnie Brown's tribute to his friend and partner is so touching and oozes total class and respect. For those who never saw them live, it is an era past. There will never be the likes again.

I'm only an Englishman, I've listened to the Corrie's for many years. From the first time I heard them my life was enriched. I discovered a whole world of Scottish music. They are so talented so real to their art and belief. Long live Scotland, Corrie's endure forever, despite this very sad time. Heartfelt thanks to you both.

Perfect duo! Neither Roy nor Ronnie would have had such an impact without the other. We're all so grateful for their friendship and collaboration. And their passion for their music and cause.

I've listened to the Corries for years. No one else I've found, represent the Love, Humor and Devotion to a land called Scotland, than the Corries.

This star in heaven will never die. He did not scratch an old head, but for a man like Roy his mortal body passed away, but his memory will live forever more in the hearts of his admirers. From this old codger nearing the end of his span of life. I THANK you ROY for being you.

His death was so... so sad... I'm just a yankee with a love for Scottish music and I sing the tunes of the Corries all day while I'm outside working. I want to keep their music alive too.

Ronnie says he will continue alone. This isn't strictly true, because not only will Roy be by your side for ever, you also carry the best wishes and affection from millions who have been heartened by your music.

In my opinion a most gifted man who with Ronnie formed the Corries and together gave joy to so many people. Thank goodness that their partnership will live on forever on CD and video. RIP Roy.

A fitting tribute to one Fine Scotsman straight and true from the heart of another.

Singing with a friend like that. I understand why he cannot bring himself to anymore. Singing these folk songs without Roy brings back the memories. Makes me very sad on my own and for Ronnie.

Roy was a legend. Such a sad loss to Scotland. I wish I'd seen them perform, but The Corries music lives on forever.

I remember watching this on TV . It was very sad to watch at the time and still makes me cry. They were brilliant.

Hard to believe that Ronnie was only 54 or 55 years old in this recording. What a legend of a man 🏴❤
