In this video, I'm sharing my personal journey of overcoming comparison, quitting social media, and learning to love myself for who I am.
For a long time, I struggled with comparison. I was constantly comparing myself to others, especially on social media. I felt like I was never good enough, and I started to develop a negative body image.
One day, I realized that I was spending too much time on social media and it was making me unhappy. So, I decided to quit social media for good! At first, it was difficult, but I quickly realized how much better I felt without it.
I started to focus on my own happiness and well-being and what made me feel beautiful.
If you're struggling with comparison or body image issues, I encourage you to watch this video. I'm sharing my story in the hope that it will inspire you to love yourself for who you are.
You are so much more than how you look. Thank you for being here today to experience life, learn, and grow with me XOXO

I am so impressed and proud of you Sierra! You are spiritually and logically making your way through life. The long term results will serve you well. You remind me of something I once heard: "Jesus never ran. He always walked." He knew the beginning from the end and nothing flustered Him. He had perfect confidence and peace. And that is what the past year abroad has done for you. You removed yourself from the the dictates of others and gave yourself time to ponder and grow. I believe that once long, long ago, that is what college students were supposed to be doing while away on their own. The great distractions of today did not exist. Again, so proud of you! We love and miss you!

The US does certain things that are particular to the US. It's all about social status, all about competition but not in the good sense, it's kinda mean, also sometimes there is envy, sometimes people feel that if someone has something, it's like they took it from them, like they are losing something. Also the idea that people need to work on themselves, to improve but it's basically to force a change. And you know, why would you even care about influencers, as opposed to having a negative opinion on the fact that they exist. Fame is empty. Also somewhat related, in the US many are proud to be fans but a fan is kinda irrational, follows, offers unconditional support while in some other places people avoid being fans, it's like giving up free will. So, it's also a matter of perspective, how you look at things. And partially unrelated, in Romania there is a saying, you don't take the money with you in the grave. The idea being that it's pointless to be greedy and want more than what you need. In the US the mentality is kinda the opposite and that helps the economy grow fast but harms quality of life.

It’s hard for me to really say how other cultures are comparatively because I haven’t been fully immersed (except Romania). I definitely think comparison affects all cultures, although it may look different in some aspects to each region specifically! Social media has definitely made a lot of changes on how we see ourselves and others. I think it can be an amazing resource with great people spreading love and kindness. On the other hand it can be the opposite, but that’s like anything in the world. I love that saying you shared! We also have a similar saying in the US- money won’t buy happiness. Life is about perspective and is so much more than the things, looks and money!

I always had larger breasts and remember getting made fun of from other girls calling them milk jugs to saying things like oh your back pain must be so bad and always wanted itty bitty breasts . Love this video . Are you guys planning on moving back to Romania?

I’m so sorry you had that experience growing up 😔 People can be so mean & not aware of how their comments affect people. Sending you love 🫶🏼 I’m not sure where we will end up in the future! I’m definitely open to the possibility of moving back to Romania someday 😊
