Bottom line, just do mods you enjoy. There are always going to be haters no matter what you do. I have stock FK8, it's fun. More fun that my heavily modded, 400 whp 2011 STI was by far. Yeah, that's right Subie fanatics. But, but, but no AWD. Yeah, that is included in my assessment. It's a pleasure to drive in almost any circumstance. But I've yet to see a video mention that you can easily spin the tires in 2nd, stock. You'll be way over the speed limit to put down any extra power on the street. Actually, you'll be over the speed limit regularly just by owning it. This car readily and easily goes reckless-OP fast in stock configuration, so you'll never get a sh%$ton more power down unless you track it . But if you just want to drive like a jerk on your commute, like I do, this does a bang up job. And you'll need new tires/wheel. Ain't no free lunch with this car either.

Wallet will be deeper if you k20c4 swap a Si or sport that has a 6spd manual. That’s the route I’m going and I have the tools and tooling to avoid buying over priced parts for the 10th and 11th gen civics and honestly having the skills and investing in tools is the best route to modifying any car!

I just recently became a Type R owner, but I do not plan on doing hot boi sh*t until I've got another reliable daily. For the next coming years, I am planning on keeping it Mild asf. I mainly wanna do the intercooler, wheels and tires, shorter shifter, and an aftermarket shifter. I dont really need many of the other mods simply because I dont plan on Tracking it yet till its paid off haha...

Finding a type r for under 40k with under 10k miles is very hard rn. Got a couple buddies tryna get one but that shit is expensive. I luckily found one w 3k miles for 38k and I love it

Great video, I think the front splitter and aero stuff on the guys FK8 are a bit much. Just my opinion though. I like to leave my cars looking close to stock, but make them crazy fast. Imagine if he had used all that money from the aero on go fast parts. His Type R would definitely be a beast!

If he’s a time attack driver then the aero is definitely needed. I doubt it’s actually designed with fluid dynamics in mind so it’s probably as waste in this case lol

I'm pushing the hp level of my fl5, the parts I'm waiting for I have ordered, and then I'm waiting on parts that need to be released still. But all said and done I'm looking for 550 to 600hp as my end goal. But that's with, intercooler, front pipe, downpipe, titanium inlet pipe kit, Cai box, p700 turbo, hondata flashpro, and as im typing this I'm pieceing together my fuel set up.

I can't wait to get promoted as a shifter at UPS because I really want to upgrade my 2021 forte GT. I want a slightly wide stance with carbon roof,fenders, trunk and hood with a perfect 500whp with AWD👌 I'm guessing it'll cost me around 15 to 20k, IDK lul I'll like your guys guesses on how much It'll cost me.

Youll want more - especially since fuel system is bolt-on and will take you to 450whp - then youll be a drop in turbo away from 525-550whp

Legit question no one can seem to answer. I have the Coated PRL inlet pipe with heat tape. Why would you want to heat wrap it blanket your inlet pipe when you're trying to get heat away from it and keep it cool? I would think the heat wraps and blankets would keep it hot

I believe it is to stop the heat from the turbo and downpipe which are nearby from heating the inlet pipe up even more

It’s a track car. You add as much camber as you need. Usually almost all track cars are running on avg -3 camber. Everything on this car is functional

His car is built as fuck. Stock internals are good for around 550 WHP as shown by Redstar automotive. That can handle all the mods he has and you can still throw in a drop in turbo, tuned for e40-e50 he should make about 530WHP

This is why I was never willing to spend 40000 plus for a Type R the cost just does not justify the means or end. Yes its great for what it is right out of the box but to get it to higher levels the cost is way beyond what you would be willing to spend. Instead I just built B16B CRX and for 8500 dollars the thing Rips and has all the looks and performance to go with it old school is lightweight and its hard to beat that. I mean seriously. You cant make 11 seconds that easily but its possible I did and it rips. Sorry guys the prices of today are outrages. Instead of that I bought a Nice TLX Type S sedan that looks and feels the part. Much better spent 60000 grand in my opinion. To each there own. This is where the price points start to really matter. For that money we want alot of more in it. Luxury and performance reliability. That cost. To be fast is not cheap to be fast and Reliable is def going to cost you arm and a leg. Think 911 Turbo or NSX not cheap folks and you want something that last.
