Always felt sorry for this version of Anne, her female classmate and BFF got lovely colourful dresses with lovely styles while sage was mostly always maded to wear brown. Season 3 she just shines in blues

@Jordyn They weren’t poor, if you read the book (Anne of Green Gables) her mom just thought puffed sleeves looked ridiculous, so she wouldn’t buy her fancy dresses. Mostly just plane white dresses.

I love the attention to detail. As an audience we take it all for granted. But if the costumes were wrong it would stand out like a sore thumb and ruin the production a little bit.

I'm so amazed how Amybeth is exactly the same how I imagined Anne would look like in real life! She is the perfect Anne indeed! She turned her to life. The personality, the way she talks , the red hair, the freckles everything!

Please do the fourth season or an ending film with Anne With An "E", because there was a lot of nonsense, and everyone wants to know if Anne and Gilbert will be together, and if Diana and Jerry will be together, and also have Mrs. Stacy and Sebastian will be together, and everyone wants to know what exactly happened to the Indians besides that we are very sad to know that it ended these loose ends. And please do it in pt br. We are very distressed to have no answers to the questions that have opened up this past season.😢

CBC and Netflix, please hear us out! I don't really know the reason why this is cancelled but we do really know by heart that this series deserves atleast 2 more seasons. There's a lot of questions that are not yet answered, we don't even know what happened to ka'kwet. This series is so good that it makes us feel nostalgic. It just feels like home. It not all about romance or whatsoever, it's more than that. The series that gives a lot of lessons shouldn't be cancelled so easily. Please, bring it back... 😥

Early Edwardian styles - maybe 1905 or so (the same year the Sullivan miniseries begins in). Anne mentions that her parents were spies in the Boer War, which ended in 1901. No cars around because it's rural PEI.

the calendar in the first episode in the iconic house says “1896” I haven’t read the book but I think they got that wrong 🤔

The books when Anne is young are set in the 1870s-1880s, but the iconic 1985 series is set in the early 1900s, at the same time as when the books were written. I think it's because the Edwardian era just works better for this kind of story, plus the era has a lot of popular appeal. Now if anyone set it earlier it would look weird :)

I instantly adored this show - I have watched and rewatched every episode from each of it's three seasons an uncountable amount of times. With that being said, I always question how in the WORLD Anne is able to keep her hats on her head. They have such an odd shallowness to them, that they look like they're slip right off her head. LOL
