Upper slaughter was one of the thankful villages. Where all the men went to serve in WW1 and returned home safe. Coln Rogers and Little Sodbury were the two other villages in Gloucestershire to welcome all their men home.

Beautiful.. Where did you drive from? London? I am planning to rent a car from Birmingham and drive to Cotswold (Chipping Camden, Snowshill, Stow-on-the-wold, bourton-on-the-water, Burford, Cirencester and Chedworth Roman Villa) for a day tour and back to Birmingham in October! Not sure if i can do all those in a single day 😂

We were staying in the Cotswolds during this trip, and it took a few days to get around all the places (with the filming included, which always take a little while). I'd say that your itinerary is possible, but it will feel rushed. We'd suggest a one or two night stay in the Cotswolds itself, if possible. Hope you enjoy your trip!

He's certainly a divisive figure, and the prices in the shop were pretty eye-watering. But it was a fun experience to visit a location so heavily featured on our screens over the past few years. Thank you for commenting, we hope you get to visit The Cotswolds soon...
