P.S. Please forgive my verbal typo at the beginning, I meant to say the Cotwolds are located in south-west England, not south-east. Which of these places are you excited about the most? My personal favourite thing to do was visiting Broadway Tower. Check out my full Cotswolds guide here bit.ly/CotswoldsBestVillages

Hi thank you for this amazing video. I live in South Africa. Staying in an English village in the Cotswolds has been my dream since forever & my husband & I were going to do this when he retired. Unfortunately he passed away this month (March 2023) but I'd love to visit anyway in memory of him. Your video was super helpful regarding transport links from London etc. Again, thank you so much for this.

Try and visit every single Donnington pub in two days - youll need a designated driver - make sure to have a pint of SBA the session beer not BB or Gold, bit too strong for 19 pints - cant ask for half pint they'll laugh at you. The Brewery is beautiful and only comparatively recently opened for tours. For 150 years The Cotswold brewery from the original Shire - no Euro fizzing, half-pinty, "in a shandy", limp-wristed, "I'm not much of a drinker", shilly-shallying about - get it down you, this is where real men come to quaff deeply, sing rugger songs, then get thrown out for dancing on the table. Maybe better to do the pubs tour spread over a few days...

Greetings wonderful video , I had a picture build up in my mind about English villages and countryside. The image was developed after reading a lot of Literature, William Blake , Wordsworth and others, and yes I read about Doctor who too, the red telephone Box reminds of tardis, The temperate latitudes give a very different color to the skies , a beautiful, different colour . Sometimes the reality is more wonderful than your Ideas, What to do in Cotswold? When I go there I am going to wonder as a cloud , in the Cotswolds lanes, and watch with delight the age old houses and cottages, and listen to the music of brookes, and smile at the beautiful flowers and sing the song with birds. Thank you very wonderful video.

Hi, Great video... Interested in stow in the wold, chipping campden, and lower slaughter for next June. Are those areas close together from what I see they look within minutes of each other.. Thanks
@garylancaster8612 Жыл бұрын
Hi, Cotswold resident here. Yes they're all close to each other. The Slaughters are only a mile or two from Bourton on the Water, Stow is about 6 miles north of Bourton. Campden is about 6 or 7 miles north of Stow. All of those are in Gloucestershire although at least three other counties have areas of the Cotswolds in them. I agree with the narrator that Chipping Campden is a jewel although I like all of them in different ways. Try to get off the beaten track if you can, visit some more out of the way villages and do some country walks. There's a huge network of public footpaths all over England and you can get walking routes from any tourist info shop. The footpaths offer access over private farmland etc. Have a great visit

Loved you video, thank you. I’d love to get your advice on a planned Cotswold trip I’d like to do next year. I love cool to cold weather, so I’d like to spend about 5 to 7 nights using public transport to explore the prettiest of the Cotswold villages, combined with a couple of nights in either Oxford or similar larger town. If I wanted to stay in the most beautiful of the villages with the most gorgeous photographic opportunities, plus a variety of trails to walk and cute shops and cafes to explore, which would be your top 5 village choices to spend a night in each please? Is October a month free from snow, as although I love cold weather, I find it easier to get out and fully explore a place when there is NO snow!! I look forward to your advice please. Cheers from Australia
