@@randomconvos That the council didn't delete or alter scripture and scriptural teachings and traditions they didn't agree with. They certainly have a history of secrecy and denial in regards to their conduct over the last few decades alone. This video admits every holiday we celebrate (Christmas, Easter etc) are actually pagan holidays. And also admits thats why the council was created, to corrupt the biblical teachings to incorporate these pagan ceremonys. Proving their integrity is also in question.

That’s why one is presumed innocent and the burden falls on the prosecution. I presented what we actually have evidence for. The things you are claiming I admit in the video are not anywhere in the video.

Any belief/ideology that was in existence was combined with Christianity in some pocket of existence somewhere at that time. It’s unclear if some of those beliefs were actually reincarnation, in the way we understand what that means today, or some version of resurrection of the dead. Some of the early beliefs were so nuanced, hinging on one word. Either way though, it was never a core tenet.

His claim that it was a “core tenet” is the issue with his assertion. It was, however, present in the writings and teachings of Basilides and Valentinius. The prevalence of Greek philosophy as a base is the source, specifically Plato’s beliefs. Irenaeus mentions Basilides doctrines in “Against Heresies” in book I.

@@randomconvos Both Basilides and Valentinius were gnostics and therefore their teachings cannot be "core tenet" of the Christian faith anymore than Arius was. Reincarnation was never a core tenent of the Christian faith.
