When have you come across false teaching in the church?
@keith33623 ай бұрын
I’d say one of the most dangerous ones our there is that you do not have to repent of sin to be saved. Yes Jesus did the work, we are saved by faith through grace, but believing includes leaving the previous life’s ways (repenting). Another false teaching is Calvinism, which though they are right on who Jesus is, they are wrong about a lot of other things, specifically limited atonement (Jesus didn’t die for everyone).

Movement going strong.. Torahism movement/ Hebrew roots. My sister is deep into the teachings and it has really divided our family. My sister tells us we are not going to heaven basically bc we are not following Torah law. She says Christianity is false and the Catholic Church has ruined our Bible and we don’t see the full truth.

When I was in college I was involved with a shepherdship ministry and was thrown into many years of healing and recovery after leaving. Read your Bible, so that you won't be deceived by false teachers. Jesus will come exactly when Scripture says: during "The Day of the Lord" (2Th 2:1-2), which day, Jesus called "The Last Day" (Jn 6:39-40,44,54), which is 7 years after a covenant has been strengthened with many (Dan 9:27), a covenant, which is presently far beyond the imagination of the most optimistic within the war-ravaged Middle East. His return will not become imminent, until the sun and moon are darkened, and the stars fall (Mt 24:29-30).

This podcast really helped me to see all the mistakes in my life and rekindled a fresh awakening. What a blessing to get to do this with your son. Sorry John is not a confirmation, but the Word is. Scripture tells us to say who the false teacher is. Romans 16:17 - "Now I beseech you, brethren, MARK them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and AVOID them." Here is another example of naming names: “‘I know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is. Yet you hold fast my name, and you did not deny my faith[a] even in the days of Antipas my faithful witness, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, so that they might eat food sacrificed to idols and practice sexual immorality. So also you have some who hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans. 16 Therefore repent. If not, I will come to you soon and war against them with the sword of my mouth. 17 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches (Rev. 2:13-17a). God does not tell us if you know a false teacher, keep your mouth shut and let your loved ones find out for yourself. The devil wants us to keep quiet so the teaching can thrive.

The Lord was truly moving in me at that time and I was so blessed to be attending a church with a very large choir and they let almost everyone in, no additions. What a blessing! So I joined the choir. I sang in that choir for 18 years and never realized that all that time I was memorizing scripture. Almost Everything we sang, old and new songs where the Word of God! And we had to memorize the songs. God is so great! I just automatically started learning scripture and didn't even know it! What a blessing. Si say to anyone reading this, start listening to Christian music and start memorizing the songs as tho you where going to sing with the choir on Sunday. You will learn the word so quickly and joyfully and not even know it. Then you will be able to recognize false profits cause you will know scripture. GOD Bless!

One false teaching can spread faster than a fire and bring so much destruction!!! God showed me this. False doctrines can steer the whole ship away from the truth. Please consider this as I believe God wants to show you more. A terrible false teaching by a beloved teacher caused the holocaust!!!

@@hman9581 John doctrine on false teachers is false itself. He even deleted scripture verses I posted as proof text that we are to call out false teachers. Romans 16:17 says, "Now I beseech you, brethren, MARK them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and AVOID them." There is no verse that states only to teach the real thing and that is enough for someone to know the false. You can't avoid someone unless you know who it is. Here is another example of naming names: “‘I know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is. "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them " (Eph. 5:11). Reprove means to censure, condemn, find fault, rebuke, and to refute. God does not tell us if you know a false teacher, keep your mouth shut and let your loved ones find out for yourself. The devil wants us to keep quiet so the teaching can thrive.
@Maranatha19273 ай бұрын
John is in error with this teaching of not calling false teachers out. The Bible Admonishes Us To Expose Error "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits, whether they be of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world" (I John 4: 1). In Rev. 2:2, the church at Pergamos was rebuked because they tolerated those that held "the doctrine of Balaam, " and "the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate" (Rev. 2:14,15). It is never right to tolerate false teachers, but they are to be tried by the Word of God, and exposed. Of course those who want to disobey the Word of God will seek by every means to avoid this teaching. Paul named Demas for loving the world. “For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world” (II Tim. 4:10). Those who forsake the cause of Christ for worldly living and pleasures should be named and exposed. (Christian Rock!) Paul named Alexander the coppersmith. “Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil. the Lord reward him “cording to his works: Of whom be thou ware also, for he hath greatly withstood our words ” (II Tim. 4:14-15). It is clear that this is not a personality problem, but a doctrinal problem. These are only a few example that Bevere is not addressing.

I absolutely love this. I used to sit under teaching that not only taught Grace allows us to live in sin and be fine, but if you were striving to be holy, you were a radical person who didn’t have tolerance for others desires. The last straw was using Harry Potter’s covenant from the pulpit to explain God‘s covenant because the pastors believed they were equal in some form. When I went to my pastor about it, I was then told how Harry Potter is used to help get people to heaven. He said God uses it to help those who don’t have access to the Bible and claimed it’s beautiful story about how Jesus loves us. Needless to say I have since found freedom from this. I’m still heartbroken for how many people I love who sit under this teaching, but I praise the Lord that he showed me the light.

The Grace of God given to us, is through the Spirit of Grace, which is the Holy Spirit. The Grace of God allows us to fear and worship Him. Without his spirit of grace we can't live for Him. When you walk in the flesh, and in sin, you don't walk in God's divine grace. On the other hand, when you walk in the Spirit through God's grace, it leads you into sanctification. Sin and Grace are at odds with one another. People get God's Grace confused with the idea of God's graceful mercy. His mercy pardons us of our sins.

Our small book club group lead by the pastors wife decided to read Harry Potter...I did not participate. Later I think the Holy Spirit convicted her or her husband found out not sure but they read no more of those. It's scary to think our spiritual leaders might not be mature in Christ. That's why we need to stick very very close to Jesus and His teachings so we can no the difference.

when i was starting my journey with my faith in God (and i still am at the introduction really), i checked if it was a sin to have pre-marital s*x, like to know if it's actually written on the bible and instead of reading the bible myself, i searched through google. i knew it was a sin but i just want to confirm and instead of confirming it through God's words, i turned to a search engine. and well, you know, i did it and i immediately felt sooooo guilty and that was when i decided to actually read the bible and confirmed it. now i learned that whenever i have questions, even on topics discussed by pastors or ministers or any believers .. i turn to the bible and ask God. He answers all the time. That is my faithful God, that is my teacher, He is my guide and my master ♥

It's Grace that teaches us to live Godly. By receiving the abundance of Grace, is the only thing that causes us to reign in life. Romans 5:17. Being leary of Grace and watering it down into thinking you don't need an abundance, is never going to help you be more Godly. We are perfectly righteous before God by what Christ has done, not by anything that we do or don't do.

John seems to sincerely believe what He is saying. However, He does not seem to be aware that He has been deceived and is deceiving others while teaching two popular, ear-tickling doctrines: 1) Salvation other than by God's elective Grace alone (Eph 2:8-9, Rom 9:14-16, Eph 1:4-5). 2) An imminent coming of Jesus, with a "Pre-Tribulation" Rapture of the Saints, yet Scripture reports: The Coming of the Lord Jesus and our (Rapture) "Gathering" will occur on "The Day of the Lord" (2Th 2:1-2, 1Th 4:17-5:2), which day, Jesus called, "The Last Day" (Jn 6:39-40,44,54), thus, will occur 7 years after a covenant with many (Dan 9:27), which covenant appears to be many years yet future.

Wow just started watching and already came across a gem. When John talked about reading the Bible with the Holy Spirit, that resonated so well with me. And he is exactly right!! For the last couple of years I have been reading with the Holy Spirit and it seems like Jesus is talking to me directly. Even in Old Testament parts that most would have no clue how that pertains to us today. It's the most awesome and sometimes scary thing ever!!! I have non believing friends that Ihave been working on hard here lately. One texted me the other day and said that he would re read the Bible just for me now that he is an adult. That's when John's point really hit me. That text from my friend was super awesome but how will it read if he doesn't have the Holy Spirit reading with him? I'll be praying for him.
@WikedLovely13 ай бұрын
I'm just gonna focus on the first scripture you have twisted and taken out of context...spoken like a true deceiver “They read it not to search for God but to find arguments to support their own positions. They did not really love God; they loved their own ideas about him.” (Barclay) John 5:39 if you STUDY the scriptures you will understand. To say you don't need to read the Word is ludicrous.
@danielbelteshazzar-mg7rb3 ай бұрын
So ``scholar told you people like I not seeking God?`` Blind like that scholar you quoting. And who actually came to argue,you buddy? Because if you have a little brain,when I say God is teaching me,you should understand that its not my knowledge,or my effort,so there is nothing to boast or argue about. 2nd when you read with eyes to see,only you can see me pointing to God to teach,which your unclean spirit cant swallow,and dont want to see... You : To say you don't need to read the Word is .... Ill say to you,to ``believe``in God that speaks,but never hear Him speak , seeking wisdom of man ,says everything about your ``faith``

6:20 - I actually think James did warn us about false teachers without blatantly saying so. When he describes how partiality and favoritism in the church is sin...how a true follower of Christ shouldn't speak out of both sides of their mouth (spring of water being bitter or sweet)...how those who are truly the faithful will show their belief by the way that they live...and so on - He's telling us to inspect the fruit. This is how to identify false teachers and when we align ourselves with such people, we become friends with the world and enemies of God.
@Maranatha19273 ай бұрын
17 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Rev. 2:13-17a. God does not tell us if you know a false teacher, keep your mouth shut and let your loved ones find out for yourself. The devil wants us to keep quiet so the teaching can thrive.

🤔 1 Timothy 2:9-15 KJV In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; [10] But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. [11] Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. [12] But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. [13] For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
