Path of Destruction from 2010 had bosses as well, although they kinda played out like a normal event. Captain's Curse was the hardest boss in the game due to the Gate Rush mode. Horde might turn out to be similar to the 2002 game Monster Jam Maximum Destruction, which was essentially just a rebranded Twisted Metal game.

Oooo thanks for the insight, see I didn't play PoD or Maximum Destruction so I wasn't aware. There are also bosses in Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 that I forgot to mention in the video, though I can't really see how that would translate to Showdown. I LOVE Twisted Metal though so if horde mode is like that I'm all for it!

I've seen those spots as well during the livestreams, a few days ago though gamestop still didn't have it listed for pre-order! But you're right, that Amazon listing does seem legit. The official website now links directly to that Amazon listing that I called sketchy lol. In my defense, that listing looks much more legit now than it did a few days ago though!
