Thanks for tagging me, this is a fun one! I hope things get better for you soon ❤️ Very intrigued by Vicious, I need to get to that one sometime. I’m more interested in reading Game of Thrones over LOTR so I’m planning to do that at some point but I wish the series was completed! I did really enjoy The Hobbit though. For funny I love Fredrik Backman (especially Anxious People) although they’re also heavy hitting at the same time so maybe not the best rec haha. Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone and Dial A For Aunties were both quite funny too!

Chlorine is so good. I love the cover as well. I love how the hard copy is red and the paperback is blue. The publishers knew what they were doing lol 🧜‍♀ 13:13 Have you read Love of my Afterlife? This one made me giggle out loud but death is talked about quite a bit. It reminds me so much of the show The Good Place. I hope you're doing alright queen, sending love your way! 💖

Awww what a cute book tag!! I really liked watching normal people, they did a tv adaption on BBC, but the ending frustrated me which is why I’ve been reluctant to pick up the book!! Omg I’d love to watch you start the game of thrones series, Toby has been begging me to read them because I haven’t watched the tv show yet!

I am sorry to hear life has not been fun lately. I hope it gets better soon. In regards funny books the first that came to mind is the Eyre affair by Jasper Fforde. It is character driven and is a bit silly.That and perhaps Guards Guards by Terry Pratchett. Also character driven and quite humourous. That VE Schwab book sounds interesting, I added it to my TBR. I have been wanting to read Les Miserables for a long time and I am going to do so soon(ish). I am currently reading a couple books one being a Christmas romance book called Mistletoe and Mr Right by Sarah MorganThaler.

@@Sullisreading Les Mis is definitely somewhat intimidating. So large and such an expansive story. I am thinking it may be a book to dip in and out of while reading other shorter books perhaps?!

Oh another funny book is by PG Wodehouse ( pronounced Woodhouse) called Mike and PSmith. It is a classic novel from 1909 and it is very silly.

I hope you enjoy Normal People! I would suggest LOTR to start, it’s more adventure whereas GOT is more political, and I think it would be the easier read especially if you’re wanting something lighter. I’m midway through Pride & Prejudice, I’d put it off for ages since I was nervous about how I’d find reading a classic but Austen, at least, is really not that hard and I’m looking forward to trying more. Also probably the funniest book I’ve read this year was Paladin’s Grace, fantasy not comedy but I laughed out loud multiple times which I think is hard to do!

@@readbyjordyn thank you!! That is also incredibly helpful, I am definitely leaning towards lotr right now! And right! I think Jane Austen tricked me because I thought the rest would be relatively the same level of difficulty(ease) to read. But definitely adding that to my TBR because I have to agree a book that can actually make you laugh is a rarity (for me anyway 😂)
