Wow, that trailer at the beginning just completely gives away the entire plot and every major character arc, doesn't it? It's like they didn't even want people to watch the whole movie.
@Drekal6843 жыл бұрын
This is a problem I've had with a lot of recent movie trailers. For example, the Peter Rabbit sequel isn't something I was going to see - but if I *had* been planning to see it then every major plot beat would have been laid bare (or should that be... bear?) except for the very end of the movie. It was extremely obvious that Peter would go to rescue his old friends, abandoning his new ones, and learn a valuable lesson about grass looking greener on the other side. Possibly with said new friends helping him in the rescue attempt, as they too learn a valuable lesson about not abandoning people. Except that it didn't matter. Since they laid out everything else, there was only really one way the movie could go after that. The details weren't important. The nature of Peter's character journey through the movie was laid out so clearly that it was impossible to see it going literally any other way. The central core of a story is the journey that its characters go on. If I can see that in your trailer, beat for beat, then the details no longer matter and a lot of people are probably just going to nope out of going to see it. So why do they do this? Ironically, it's an attempt to make as many people see it as possible. A pretty cynical attempt at that. You see, the idea is that they will lay it out for you so that you will know in advance if you will like the movie. Hide nothing, let them see it all, including the themes and character journey... and if someone likes that, there's a bigger chance that person will go to see it. It's a form of insecurity. Sort of like, they realised that they made something terrible and need to lean really hard into the few good things they did. Which results in spoiling the plot. I don't want the plot in a trailer. I want the premise.

In 2013 I just went through a messy break up, was extremely depressed and was shutting out almost everyone in my life out. I spent most of my days online and just exploring everything I could online to get through the day. One day I was just looking at Blip library and trying to find new shit to watch and I came across this thumbnail for a channel in the style of Steamboat Willie called Some Jerk with a Camera, as a big disney fan I was automatically intrigued and that's how I found the first two seasons of your show. I binged watched them and laughed my ass off. It was the deepest, most heartfelt and just freeing laughter that I had at that point of my deep depression. It helped me a lot to get through it. From that day I've been a fan. Following your work through Blip to Channel Awesome to KZbin to Spotify (where I usually listen to Escape from Vault Disney). And usually when I stumble again and get extremely depressed I tend to go back to your channel and watch all three seasons of Some Jerk with a Camera because it always helps me laugh and at least get somewhat through it. So, while I haven't been through the whole 10 year shebang, here's to you Tony and this 10 years of wonderful content that brought joy to people. Here's to many more and from the bottom of my heart thank you. You helped me more then you'll ever know.

Also, to comment on what Morgan said about Haley Joel Osment in Kingdom Hearts sounding bland: 1. It was his first go in the role and he grew into it the longer the series went/goes on. 2. He has to re-do the lines from a Japanese track, so there are multiple times in these games that a preformance doesn't sound perfect because the actors have to 'just translate' what was done in Japan.

It got released eight years after the attraction closed on both coasts, and as far as I can tell all it has in common is the name.

@@TonyGoldmark Wow, seriously? I had no idea, thanks for letting me know! I honestly forget MTM exists because of stuff like Armageddon and Deep Impact. (Apologies if the initial comment came off like “well actually” - the whole trend of all these ride films are an enigma to me.)

@@TonyGoldmark And of course Mission Space is based on that particular movie. If the Mission to Mars movie had purposefully been inspired by the attraction, that would have been weird case of an attraction becoming a movie and then that becoming another attraction.

I get the sense in this universe country music is blues, and like blues or rap was created by baers, and like the blue or rap was stolen by the whites. Berry's connection to the country bears isn't just because they're the only famous bears, but because its the music of his people, and connects the country bears because he was raised by White humans, who assume adopted him because they were one of those rich Christians who adopt poor African/ Asian kids as sort of being white savoirs. As such he's grown up in cultural were he doesn't fit in and Countrty music is a way to connect with his kind. Also this movie is about gentrification too if you think about it, as walken is demolishing what i assume is land where bears live, to make it more appealing to whites.
