Working at home is BS. I have a friend who works as an IT contractor who has worked from home ever since the pandemic. And he has recently put in an offer to rent an office space, only like a couple of miles from his home, because he has found that working from home is ruining his work and social life. He can't concentrate on work because of the Dog, the partner and other little distractions such as playing his playstation, needing to do the washing and a million things inbetween. But he also can't rest because he's constantly being reminded of work since he's basically sleeping at work. So now he is paying out money just so he can split up his work and his homelife. I hope it goes well for him. But it's for this exact reason that I have no idea how anyone could bare to work from home.

It depends on the person, the role, the business. Public sector productivity is generally low, if they work from home they generally do even less. I work in IT, at home 2 -3 days a week, 2 - 3 days in an office. I do more as I'm not commuting so start earlier and work later, I could work on the moon for 3 days as long as I have internet, but i have targets, things that must be done, so easy not to be distracted. It all just depends.

£81, 000 for driving a train for 4 days a week. The job's not exactly rocket science, yet pensioners are having their winter fuel payments stopped under Labour. On top of that, doctors to get 22% pay rise and everyone else around 5% if they are lucky. Just disgraceful. ASLEF and the BMA are both as bad as each other at holding the country to ransom.

And being super-intelligent and arrogant doesn't negate the rather base human drive for greed shown by the BMA. And now we've reached the stage of appointments by phone call too. You should remember that one size does not fit all... if most workforces are distributed and remote to some degree then everyone may as well be. There's no point in going into the office to jump into online meetings. There's nothing about the office in IT at least which is intrinsic to getting things done. Making everyone go into the office is clearly inefficient and all it does is fuel overpriced office space and coffee shops. In an economic crisis its even more obvious that working from home where possible should be advocated for, although saying that the government also shouldnt rely on this to get themselves out of trouble.

Horses for courses. Not all jobs lend themselves to working from home. (For those that do salaries should of course be lower). But with modern IT, it is possible to track what employees are doing whether in the office or anywhere else. The technology also allows managers to load staff up with work and let them get on with it. If employers bother to implement the procedures and use the technology that exists legally, it will not be long before workers are insisting in going to their place of work. This is a non story.

So, if I was young again (now 73) I would go and train to be a train driver, you can't go wrong £80.000 a year for a 4 day week, and the option for overtime, bring it on sounds cushy to me! Still, I am not young so this winter surviving on a basic state pension only that is above the pension credit by a few quid no doubt, I will have to reduce what I spend on food (back to scraping by), so I can pay my heating bills. I am coeliac as well so my food costs much and I no longer get a prescription for basics such as bread and flours like I used to because the tories threw that prescription out of the window. My bread (and it is not that great) costs £1.90 for around 12 slices! Still I hope Reeves has a splendid winter getting her fuel bills paid and all her money coming in!

When we hear the words from their mouth we hear their heart . Ignorance is down to lack of education being replaced by a religious doctrine , religion should be kept out of politics, not the fulfilment of them. Don’t look at the colour look at the Doctrines, the problem is not the law of the land it the ethos of the doctrine you can’t police the streets if you can’t police the doctrinal language . Let me explain if you miss my point , any crime committed against another person is judged by the actions of a person on another. This is decided via a courtroom of evidence and the peers on the jury . Religious doctrine is not exempt from prosecution if it promotes violence . However any crime committed under the slogan of religion is not a fanatic views it is not one person being fuelled by their hatred it is not a one person thing. It is one hundred percent wrong. When we are told that certain slogan and statements are illegal yet turn our back on inflammatory statements and Rhetoric being used that undermine peace actually states their law is that written text undermines the Law of Britain there in the Constitution of a Nation this in not in the mind of the religious removes the right to freedom of the law of the land it is a validation of the Democratic right of the law of this country . Starmer as a highly educated person should have no idea understand that the racial divide is nothing to do with colour but has everything to do with law versus religion And the radical views supported and encouraged to disrespect disregard and to claim a higher power to endorse theories and their behaviour.if Starmer says it is just a few he ignores the source of the few and the written statements that are allowed to be and also encouraged to be used against a country . The fact that there is such overwhelming evidence that the motivation behind religious doctrines is not accepted is unacceptable by any one to whom takes on the roll of defender of this country. Racism as nothing to do with colour and everything to do with attitude, one bad attitude in a person does not constitute racism the indoctrination people share that justifies that attitude is criminal . A prime minister with legal experience and prosecution skills should know this and act on the removal of text or practices that cause offence and incitement against the laws of this country should be removed from that source . It is obvious to all that Starmer as not got any respect for the British courts if once made aware of this statement is made public to him. Any person not accepting the correctness of this statement will choose to do so because of their perspective to continue hostile behaviour towards a peace loving Nation . If we were not a peace loving nation I am Sure Starmer would have not cut the defence budget. Let use stop miss the wood for the trees any longer . I challenge anyone without a motive to promote a religious belief to change the laws of this land to have a honest reason to disagree with me . i have my own encounter with the police they make up a story line and people believe them . I still honour the law as the law is necessary

I said previously. I worked in Health care for 25 years. One of my last jobs was in supported living working for a large national care company. Couldn't afford a pay rise for us for 5 years, due to the 'challenges facing the Care sector'. They found enough money ( approx. £3 million) to install a fingerprint log in system, directly linked to payroll so you could be automatically docked 15 minutes pay for being 5 minutes late. ( The manager could override it for extenuating circumstances beyond your control, but they were only allowed to do so many times, before they were chastised!). They eventually gave us a pay rise. 10p an hour.
