As a Saudi interested in politics, I do not like many of Mohammed bin Salman's domestic and foreign policies, but I agree with him on some things. However, to be fair, Mohammed bin Nayef was involved in corruption, along with his entourage and his security or intelligence advisor Saad al-Jabri, who fled Saudi Arabia, is involved in corruption cases. I also think that Mohammed bin Nayef is not politically intelligent, and the repression during his reign was not much less than the current repression, if not more in some aspects. I think that Mohammed bin Nayef agreed with the American administration on many things, which is why the Americans prefer him over other princes.

In my opinion MBS did nothing wrong. Actually what he did, if anything, he simply applied the course in which nature dictates. The elderly, respectfully, should and must allow the younger to realize their dreams and not for the elderly to dictate that which the youth must accept. Which is to rule to the end of life. How else would the youth grow wise if not by being given the chance to experience that which the elderly have. Just look at nature and how the other creatures live. Animals, fish, plants or birds. Yes, there is respect for seniority but it's the youth that lead the pack whether in hunting for food or in providing for defence. You can't have the old make decisions on what they cannot perform. It's up to the youth to fight, work and protect their communities while the old simply sit, sip on tea and make decisions. It's like a soccer team. Who does the physical work.
