I love her journey not just to accept her disability but to realise her difference is her strength. She has made an amazing community of people with disabilities, that as the only disabled person in my family/friendship group I admire but am also envious of!

Some people in this world, are just born to be a Mum, and she was just made for it. The kindness, compassion, love, but also championing others, and helping to pick them up when they’re down - that is the spirit of a Mum right there. Truly, a remarkable family, and I wish them all the best. As one differently abled person to another, my heart and hopes for all the best, are with you 🩵

When you’re blessed enough to actually have someone who loved or loves you there’s no feeling like it. Not everybody experiences that. Not even able bodied people. I am disabled, I can walk, though it’s harder as I get older, I met a Fire Chief at work at a federal shipyard. I just could not believe someone like him loved me. We would have been married 27 years, but he died in 2019. I was always independent but he wanted me to depend on him and I did. That was such a wonderful change. He was my soulmate. He was handsome but didn’t realize how handsome he was. I was the one that was not in a hurry to get married, but I’m so glad I did. I’m going to meet him by the river when it’s my time. He would send me texts five or six times a day telling me he loved me. He would be in his art room, and I would be in mine. I saved all those texts.

i don’t think i’ve ever seen someone with achondroplasia who uses a wheelchair full time. i’m glad she explained why she uses a wheelchair. anyway, sounds like a nice and helpful couple and i’m glad they have a great community to live in/with. as the other comments say, she does seem like a natural caretaker.

I think what is wonderful about these videos is that it enabled me to see the person, not the disability! Thanks for sharing:)

There is just so much Ableism. It's not always easy to know how to be around those with disabilities. I remember my horrible Mother would beat me for even looking at a disabled person. Than was the beggining of separation between able people and disabled people. It's just not right. We all need to be inclusive and accepting all of our differences. Thank you so much for helping me grow. ❤
