Thank God for archbishop chaput. Now, if only more bishops would come forward with such clear, truthful and plain speaking. It seems that the only ones to do so are those who are retired and have little to loose in terms of consequences, bishop Strickland being an exception.

I came back into the Church joyfully after having left and lived my way and contrary to Church teaching. I loved and relied on the Church for staying true to the truth and discovered real joy in it. What Pope Francis and all the bishops he is favoring and promoting makes it obvious that he’s not a lover of truth or the Catholic Church. He’s in it to change it to conform to the passions of this modern world to the detriment of souls. He exiles the bishops and priests that are courageously going against the whims and passions of this “wicked generation.” Thank you, Dr. Martin, for trying to do what the Pope is supposed to be doing.

I know Abp Chaput and have read all his books (save one), and I can say that he is likely one of the best men, if not THE best that I've ever had the pleasure to meet and get to know- if just on a couple of occasions. While reading and listening to commentaries on Fiducia Supplicans, I was reminded of the fact that Pope Francis regularly talks about accompanying people. While in essence I agree with that statement, one thing that I learned, from 30 years as a counsellor of addicted people, was that there is a very fine line between accompaniment and enablement. I can't help believing that there are a number of times that the Pope and Cardinal Fernandez have crossed that linre. This document seems to be one of those times.

the blessing document appears to be a big nothing in terms of actually doing anything; a priest of the Mission here says that no-one has asked for a blessing; I know how LGBT are, since I was a gay activist and left the lifestyle 8 years ago; what a sorry and confusing way to reach the LGBT! the first thing I would ask the two persons in a couple: what is your intention? are you seeking God, and attracted to Christ because it is obvious that this is the issue, and what the Church is; the Church is not an event opportunity or a slap on your back that you're OK; the society misgiving you plenty of that

Hi Ralph. I actually met you once in newfoundland, Canada. Please respond to my question. I don't think after all the critisms' of F.S. the Pope will not reverse it. The Pope apparently can do anything he wants, so I guess we will have to wait for a new Pope to reverse many things Francis has done. Fernandez says he is coming out with a new document and my guess it will all be about further promotion of gay marriage in some fashion. Regards Bob
