Within the windswept and dramatic landscape of the Berwyns, legends, ghost story’s and historical events are as much apart of the land than the mountains themselves. One tale that has made its mark in the landscape and the story’s that are passed down here are that of Melangell and her courage to take on a Welsh prince and his hunting party.
She is known to have been an Irish princess turned runaway who died in the years around 590. For years her feast day is celebrated on 27 May.
The aim of this video is to avoid this tale being lost to time, and to continue the Welsh Celtic traditions of story telling :)
