she does make an interesting point; the media has a lot of power in how they choose to present pictures and videoclips to the public. What scenes/clips will be shown and which ones omitted? How do they position/frame the camera, how do they edit, and eventually photoshop and colourgrade the picture? All that influences the viewer’s reaction and opinion too, and her statement perfectly captures human psychology that is quick to recognise a drawing as an interpretation, whereas photographs & videos will be seen as the truth and, ultimately, not questioned as much.

as evident with the OJ's case. the media darkened his newsweek picture to demonize him. in the case of black people , guilty or not the way the case is presented before trial is a show of racial animosity most times and you factor in the fact that the artists themselves are a part of it too. its interesting that there are trends in trials like fashion. the mobs, the gangster rappers , the me too. etc
