Oprah, Oprah, my dear Oprah... if you're going to convert this to a series. Please do not do 'generic' 'Indian' things like the weird 'Indian' music in the beginning. Kerala music, culture, arts, religions, architecture etc. are VERY unique. Don't spoil a good book by introducing generic Indianness.
@susanjames4226 Жыл бұрын
Just one more message for dear Oprah - please don't let anyone other than Malayali film directors handle this series. Malayali film directors are world famous especially in the film festival circuit. Please make use of them. The production company could be Hollywood, of course. Please hire genuine Syrian Christian researchers in Kerala to create the set. And needless to say, set it in Kerala. I say this because I see huge distortions in western directed films on Kerala. One of the reasons why Arundhati Roy refused to sell the film rights to her coveted novel. Lots of love for the venture.

I’m a physician for just over 10 years now in the practice, I would always say that one cannot be in the field of medicine and not believe that there’s God/higher spiritual being unless you’re caught up in your own ego thinking that you’re the one healing people.

I am so grateful to be a medical practitioner. Every day I am reminded that I am fortunate to be able to care for my patients. I understand the difference between being cured but not healed. Not many doctors take the time to heal their patients. I treat addiction often and most of the time it is not necessary about choice and morals but about the misunderstanding of the risks of becoming addicted with short term drug use is great. This series is wonderful. I could listen to Dr Abraham for hours.

The Covenant of Water is an absolute masterpiece that captivated me from start to finish. With its lyrical prose and vivid descriptions, the author transported me to a richly crafted world where the power of water holds both beauty and danger. The characters were deeply complex and their struggles felt so real, making it impossible not to become emotionally invested in their journey. The intricate plot was masterfully woven, filled with unexpected twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. This enchanting tale not only explores themes of love, sacrifice, and the indomitable human spirit, but also delves into thought-provoking questions about the delicate balance between humanity and nature. The Covenant of Water is a must-read for anyone seeking a captivating and thought-provoking fantasy novel that lingers in the mind long after the final page. Thank you, Abraham. ✨
