The COVID-19 Pandemic through the Eyes of Vietnamese Americans

SEA Roots Vietnamese Language Workshops: Spring 2021
For this project, we will be making a video about the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Vietnamese American community. We will be interviewing 8 people of different occupations and ages. Their responses will be recorded and combined to create a narrative about the experiences of Vietnamese Americans during the pandemic. This video will be shown at the Vietnamese American Roundtable Black April event on April 30th.
Through this project, we will gain experience conducting interviews in Vietnamese. Additionally, we will hone our listening and comprehension skills to create a coherent and authentic narrative from our participants’ responses. We are hoping the video will exist as a testimony to the experience of Vietnamese Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic.
