This is a superior design - effective,cheap,simple & straightforward,multi-catch,self-setting,etc. No one could ask for more. It could even be used as a "kill" trap,that is,if those cans are water-tight. I imagine they would be water-tight,or could be made so at minimal expense.

I'm thinking maybe a coating of vegetable oil on the ramp and the peanut butter smeared on the wall just above the top of the ramp to draw them completely in would perfect that but otherwise it's a very good variant of walk the plank with the added bonus being the mice can't get out.

How would it work if the ramp approached from the back rather than the side?
@EnraEnerato
@EnraEnerato 3 жыл бұрын
The only flaw I noticed was putting the ramp to the side and not to the front or back, I wonder how that changes behavoir? If it is in the front it is reasonable to asume mice have a harder time to jump back to the ramp, while I imagine if it was put to the back, where the lid is deeper they would try ot reach for the peanut butter not quite manage and "test the water" by hanging of their hind legs. The question is if and how many mice would decide to drop and trigger the trap.
