The loss of Barry was a loss for all of us. There was never a more genuine article than the Cowsills and their talent was remarkable. They remain very relavant to this day and I'm thankful the surviving family members continue to perform. There will never be another group like them.

I seen the Family Band documentary and it's just baffling how Bud Cowsill just couldn't let his sons take this band and run with it. Their talent was immense and what a different story they could have written in music history. They deserved so much more. Great to see Barry playing and having just a great time. RIP Barry!

I watch this over and over…it just makes me happy. As for the few negative comments, well, everyone has a right to an opinion, but this really does NOT suck. As for them acting "childish" in the beginning, hey, here's a bunch of brothers and their sister getting together (they were living in different areas of he country) and having a good time. I have been fortunate enough to see them perform locally a couple of times, and Paul is a total clown. They have had their share of heartache and tragedy, so what's wrong with just having fun and enjoying themselves?! I love this video. The Cowsills were and continue to be under recognized for their talent. Thanks again, Louise, for your work and integrity, and for sharing this with the rest of us Cowsill fans!

I remember the Cowsills from the 60s. My friends and i each had our "favorite Cowsill , and we couldnt share, each one had to be different. I was kind of late to the group, so Bill was available. He was great and all, but to my 12 year old mind, he was too old. Secretly, i was in love with Barry. Well, lo and behold, after about two months, the girl who was "Barry's girl" moved. Before qnyone else could try and change the rules, and claim him, i jumpedcon in there and announced that Barry was MINE!. For the next two years, i was in heaven, i had my Cowsill. Barry, you were a great boyfriend. Always thoughtful, always kind. And even though we never met, i knew that I'd love you forever. And i did. Rest in peace, my Barry.

I was born in 1969 so I missed this wonderful family. I had heard of them and knew of the Partridge Connection but had never really seen anything on them until last weekend. I saw Family Band and all week I've been trying to find everything I can find on them. Musically, they were/are a treasure. In the film (and other interviews) they come across as such engaging, interesting people...the kind of people I wish I could have over for a firepit jam session. Their non-bitter attitude in spite of the crappy hand they were dealt is inspiring. They have blessed me just in a week!

Sharon Northern So glad you found them and are enjoying them. I am lucky to have been born in 1958, so I was the perfect age when their music hit and amongst the magical music of the 60s, they were a sparkling, unique jewel. To have this much talent in one family is priceless. They have this talent, which is worth more than all the money in the world.

Aww Barry we could have been such good friends if we had only met! Totally get his sense of humor_ I too follow a fork in the road. Beautiful, fun, happy song. John looks so happy and peaceful like "this is how it's supposed to be, together, happy, singing because they love to make music.." and is that Paul rocking out with grandchildren?! So sweet.

Barry was much loved in NOLA ... People still have passionate opinions about how exactly he crossed over, after that metal plaque was found on a tree, and it seems that Barry may have created it. A mystery. Love and light to that big spirit, wherever he is .

What a GREAT video. I remember that night at the El Rey. Barry and I were reminicing about when we were in our teens and they all lived on La Mesa. Great memories, great family, Barry was quite a character, but was also a kind, sweet man. He'll be missed! (TEAR)
