Exploring Hearst Castle in California: Slow Travel Hygge Vlog: Roman Pool, Grand Rooms & Upstairs Suites | My California trip continues. Slow travel when there's not much time is a challenge! After two days in Sequoia National Park, we headed to Cambria and San Simeon. I booked us two tours at Hearst Castle: the Grand Rooms tour and the Upstairs Suites tour. Both are wonderful! But I do have a favorite ... the Upstairs Suites tour is so interesting! You'll see a lot more details. Also ... I'm trying hard to practice "slow travel" even though there's not enough time.

Wanting to get my vlog up in time, I stayed up editing late into the night. It was in the wee hours when I uploaded ... and then realized there were a few spelling errors. But my motto is "better done than perfect." Hence ... the wabi sabi vlog exists. Do you like SLOW TRAVEL? If so, do you have any tips on how to slow travel when time is limited? I love Slow Travel. In my mind there is a difference between tourism and traveling. Tourism is getting as much into a journey as possible- to check off destinations on a list. Traveling is to become, as much as possible, one with the people and surroundings, to soak in the experience. I know it is not often possible to luxuriate in these time constrained days, but when you can... it can be magical. Thank you for the beautiful video.

Yes! our Hearst Castle guide did mention that Lady Gaga was the only one ever to be allowed to film there at the castle!
