Southwestern Colorado/Eastern Utah/Northern New Mexico is really underrated, in my opinion. I also love Tuscon and think the Saguaro National Park is a once in a lifetime experience.

I really liked this style of video. It would be cool if you did different categories like the top 5 places to travel in California, the top 10 countries in Europe, the top 10 beaches in the world, etc.
My bf and I did Yellowstone AND Grand Teton National Park a couple years ago. I loved Grand Teton. I'm a NH resident, born and raised and haven't left and we have mountains but the Grand Tetons were a whole nother level. So beautiful.

Perfect timing! Last year my husband retired and I plan to later this year. Tomorrow is his birthday and I'm giving him a map, a journal and a book about the National Parks so we can start planning to visit them! We're heading to St John, USVI in June so the National Park there will be #1; We live in New England so Acadia (and Bar Harbor) will be next. You've provided the next several trip ideas for us here. Thank you for that!
Alaska / Glacier National Park! I did a 7 day Uncruise Adventures trip with my family last summer - 80 person cruise from Juneau to Sitka. Hands down the best travel experience of my life! Because of the smaller vessel, we explored essentially untouched wilderness. Amazing amazing crew and guides. Cannot recommend enough.

Enjoyed this so much! If I may add a spot that’s completely underrated and not on the radar for many outside Chicago: Door County, Wisconsin. So quaint, beautiful nature, delicious food, and no chains!
As someone born and raised along the coast of Maine I appreciate that it made the video. Maine in the fall in a good foliage year is one of my favorite places to be as well. I’m looking to do more domestic travel and your videos are so inspiring, I’m definitely adding these places to my list.
@@Numba1starrr it differs a bit every year, and some years are not as good as others, it all depends on the weather conditions. A few trees here and there are starting to change now, but middle to later October are generally considered peak season where I am in the southern area of the state.

My list includes a few of your picks, too!! San Juan Islands in Washington cannot be missed. This collection of islands off the coast of Washington are picturesque and so special. I recommend May-September. Flying into Seattle and driving north to Anacortes before hopping on a ferry is one way to travel! Portland, Oregon is my one of my favorite cities. It has a small-city feel but the food is fabulous. Some of the best I have ever had. And the price point is more affordable than other places. Portland, Maine and along the coast is another favorite. My ex was from there, so I have visited many times. They call it vacation land, which is fitting. Summer is the best time to go. Savannah, Georgia is my favorite city in the south. It has all the charm of other Southern-coastal cities without overwhelm that others do. Book a ghost tour and enjoy the food! A few places on my bucket list: Utah for the national parks; Montana for the beautiful mountains; Vermont for fall colors.

Definitely don't forget about the Midwest! If you want an actual relaxing vacation, the Midwest is quieter, less crowded, cheaper and friendlier 😂 i would recommend Apostle islands Lakeshore in Wisconsin, Michigans beaches, Door County Wisconsin, Voyageurs national Park in Minnesota

Oh my god! My childhood heart when you said SANIBEL! I was born in Tampa and my whole life, even when my family moved to Maryland and California - Sanibel was our annual family vacation. Vanilla Ice cream at "the bean", bike rides, watching cabel TV cause we grew up without it... It's a hidden gem. My dad always said, "If you can't relax in Sanibel, there's no hope for you." We would also drive through Captiva and fantasize about buying a home there. Made my night for you to mention it!

Loved this video! I already had a trip to Jackson and the Tetons in May and then Zion/Bryce in November so your video got me even more excited! I have had Seattle on my list for awhile but just recently heard of the San Juan islands- I'll definitely have to add that into our trip plan. I'd agree w/ other comments about Oregon- we had such a great trip there (Portland, Willamette Valley, Mt. Hood). I'd also recommend the West Coast of Michigan (South Haven up to Traverse City)- it's amazing how beautiful Lake Michigan is in the summer! There are all sorts of outdoorsy things to do from beaches, hiking, wineries, breweries, etc. You could add in Mackinac Island too for a unique experience 😀

you are spot on about southern Utah...Zion was my favourite canyon in the entire country UNTIL I visited King's Canyon in CA. I was shocked at its beauty and how I felt there. That said, overall Utah has such a plethora of outdoor beauty.

I would definitely recommend Grand Canyon in Arizona, I know that it’s very tourists oriented but seriously, I have never seen something like that anywhere in my whole life, it’s like if time stopped and we see this vastness in front of us, and the colors when the sun sets, it’s incredible. I was with my ex, children and cat, the cat in the car was stunned and was staring at this incredible gigantic place. Pets don’t lie, my cat was as stunned as we were. A few months later, I went to see the David Hockney exhibition at Beaubourg in Paris, many little paintings attached together to create a whole wall showing the Grand Canyon according to Hockney. I could spend hours there, I actually went back several times, and I had the same feeling as when I was at the Grand Canyon for real. David Hockney is an amazing artist. I love wide spaces, mostly the beaches and oceans but Grand Canyon is something which looks like nothing else, it is a must see absolutely.

There are so many great places to visit in the US. I saw already mentioned - Dauphin Island, Mobile County, AL is a wonderful spot on the Gulf; Cooperstown, NY - even if not baseball fan with Hall of Fame there, it is a beautiful little town, one traffic light, head waters of Susquehanna River and Lake Otsego, Otesaga Hotel is a terrific resort with tennis and golf looking over the lake; Anna Maria Island, FL; Hilton Head, SC; Fairhope, AL and Point Clear, AL both over looking Mobile Bay, and the Grand Hotel in Point Clear is terrific.

I have visited many on your list, but, this summer I plan to follow the entire Michigan shoreline along lakes Michigan, Superior and Huron. I read, recently, that Michigan has more lighthouses than any other state. Some must sees along the way-Saugatuck, Holland, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, Mackinac Island and the bridge,Taquamenon Falls, the Pictured Rocks, Soo Locks and the Porcupine Mountains.

Thanks for this. Now I’m redoubling my efforts to get to Savannah. But I didn’t care for Bar Harbor and Acadia - well, mostly Acadia. We went in September and we just weren’t prepared for how crowded it would be. It was pretty, yes, but we didn’t enjoy it that much because there were people everywhere. They were coming in by the busload! It was very offputting to us.

If you love traveling to see nature, Alaska is the place to go. Plenty of areas in the lower 48 are beautiful, but there are people everywhere. Alaska is huge, and yet less than a million people live there. So much of its wilderness is still untamed and not turned into ranches or farms like you get everywhere else.

The idea that Savannah is somehow more walkable than Charleston is ridiculous. The historic Charleston peninsula is completely walkable as well and you could easily visit without ever needing a car. The difference is that Charleston has so much history in its surrounding area as well that it gives the traveler many options. There are 5 islands that you can easily drive to from the peninsula, each very unique. There are also plantations and gardens in the West Ashley, Goose Creek and Mount Pleasant areas that you can also drive to or Uber to if the mood strikes you. There are boat tours in Charleston's spectacular harbor, the one to Fort Sumter is a must.
