Something interesting I noticed about QoS's car chase is that there's a short subtle freeze frame right before the music titles start. It kinda makes me think they didn't plan making that the title transition, and originally it was the gunbarrel like in the trailer and your video.

About Amy Winehouse, Apparently they started recording with her but because of her personal problems they had to let her go. It might've been decent. Listen to her cover of "A Song For You". It's not great but it sounds very Bond-esque.

I usually agree with you completely but I disagree on the opening car chase. I love this scene and feel it’s one of the best car chase / destruction scenes in cinema.

I really really enjoyed Quantum. I feel it is grossly underrated and far better than Skyfall and especially Spectre. But I'm not a classic bond fan. In fact I only got into Bond with Casino Royale so maybe that's why.

@@starlord6433 Where do I start? Skyfall tries to blend the gritty realistic elements of Casino with the "cheesy" elements of older bond films. And it doesn't work. As I said I am not a fan of the old cheesy bond. The entire opening of Skyfall is ridiculous with the crane and the train and... "VW Beetles... I think". It's all nonsense. The idea of an aging Bond out of practice is cool I'll admit that. The entire 3rd act of home alone bond is just lame and equally ridiculous as the opening. Silva is a good villain but mostly it's just Javier Bardem who is an excellent actor that elevates the character. I'd need to put more time to go more in depth with all the gripes I have with this film than I'm willing to right this minute though.

I didnt mind the song at all. Some of the other songs you mentioned are kind of a throwback to an older Bond era. I feel like the style should be kept, but adding new talent...just like they had been throughout the entire series. Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Duran Duran were all at the top of their game when they did title songs for Bond Movies. Oh and I prefer when they mention the movie title in the song!

There are cool action sequences but the film has no flow or credible plot, it seems to have been written by a huge committee who were not communicating with each other...but Forster failed to make the film even a fraction as good as the previous film, he completely blew it.

From 9:48 - 11:37; NO ONE on this picture had the slightest idea of what was going on. From the "4 Elements" pretensions of the director to the babbling, incoherent moron playing the chief villain, this movie was a total cluster bomb which should never have been made!
