They act so wild and campy but they’re so down to earth and sweet lmao
@JoeStunner6 жыл бұрын
They'd probably hate to be described in this way, but Lux and Ivy always seemed to me like a really lovely couple - just two people in love who made the most of their life together and had a ton of fun. We could all learn something from the Bonnie and Clyde of rock 'n' roll.
@TMGLost6 жыл бұрын
FWIW I’ve always considered them the Johnny and June of Psychobilly.
@briantyson61385 жыл бұрын
They would not have hated that at all. I saw em eight times, 1st time at 1st ave. In 86. The back cover photo on gravest hits is them opening for the Ramones in 78. Lux is the guy in the striped suit crawling over the audiences chairs at the bottom of the photo.

I saw The Cramps several times in the 1980s, and they were great. Lux was the missing link between early Elvis and Iggy. He was a fantastic performer. Still have their albums and singles on vinyl, they were truly original. I hope he is singing with Elvis and Gene (Vincent), wherever he is now.

I love the Cramps (RIP Lux)..I grew up in the greatest era of Rock...the Punk movement. My dad and ma exposed us to all genres of rock, but by far punk was their fav...I'm so thankful they weren't like most parents at the time...and like most of my friends parents. They never said, you can't listen to this, or that...this is the devil's music...they allowed is to experience life, art, and music and because of it we had and have a great appreciation for it, and life is so much better when u don't shut off your kids and let them see all sides of life...good and bad. Long live the Cramps!
