In my day we called climate change, seasons. they rotated every freaking year. It got hot in the Summer, cold in the Winter and in between on the other 2 seasons.

Thx guys, of course you're right. We are getting tired of this, but they keep trying. Missed Roy and sorry about the hummingbird.

I, too, remember scientists in the 1970s warning us of the "coming Ice Age." Like you, I thought "Cool! I can bag a mastodon!" Cheers!

I'm watching this 5 days after you posted and KZbin added a "context" warning. They suspect you might be issuing "mis-information". Now we know you got it right.

I just watched the climate video. Loved it. I’m slightly older than you guys. The problem the way I see it is I’m right you’re wrong. The only way to see it’s if you d or think the way I do you’re wrong. Can’t discuss it because we both have different views and today’s generation is 100% right and we are wrong. We are supposed to change our ways to theirs no matter what. My way of thinking has worked for over 75 years. If I didn’t have a mind of my own I guess I’d probably believe everything they said or told me what to do. Keep up the great job you do. My wife even likes you guys. Would really like to sit down with you guys sometime and chat.

Thanks for the chuckles, guys. Just a few thoughts on the subject: What is life on planet earth? The carbon cycle plus insolation (green plants use sunlight to strip carbon from the tiny bit of CO2 in the air to combine with nitrogen, water, and minerals in the soil to power and grow themselves...oh, and release oxygen as a byproduct making animal life possible). We burn the carbon in our food with that oxygen and exhale CO2 just like the reviled internal combustion engine and return it to the plants. What is life on earth without the greenhouse effect? It is Mars, frigid and sterile, dead. Why is CO2 vilified as the primary greenhouse gas? The misfact is repeated ad nauseum in service to an agenda to shutdown the petroleum industry--"fossil fuel," don't you know. Well, we knew since about the 1950s that petroleum isn't produced from dinosaurs and fossils but mostly from layer upon layer of dead plant matter (animal organics contributing only a tiny percent). The insistence upon using "fossil fuel" is purely pejorative, implying something old and passé. The earth has already invented the perfect solar energy storage device, itself. It hasn't stopped either. The geological record, as best we can read it, shows that increases in atmospheric CO2 happens *after* average temperatures have already peaked--CO2 concentrations lag, they do not lead average temperatures, they are not causative. As you both mentioned, climate is in constant flux; there is no stasis, no equilibrium. The climate change mongers actually deny climate change by picking some arbitrary period of "perfect" climate in historic time creating a false stasis and marking any natural continuation of climate change as the evil doings of man. I'm sure the Danes who successfully raised livestock and farmed on the west coast of Greenland before climate change froze them out would have chose a different stasis point. What would be so bad about rising average temperatures? Cold, by far, kills more of the living than does heat. The rising average temperatures we saw stopped about twenty years ago despite the best efforts of NOAA and others to falsify the records by dropping inconvenient readings and using more estimates and less recording sites (a huge area of discourse there). That may have been the inversion point of temperatures and sea levels as the earth came out of the little ice age. On the geological scale of climate, we should be slowly sliding down the other slope into an ice age.

This dialog box is posted on your video. Context Climate change United Nations Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns, mainly caused by human activities, especially the burning of fossil fuels.

If you do some research on your own. this heat is a cycle of about 1000 years. Roman warm period about 2000 years ago the Mediterranean Sea was 2.6 degrees CELCIUS WARMER than it is right now based on Core Samples of the sea bottom. About 1000 years the Vikings were GROWING crops on Greenland that won't grow there now. See the pattern emerging.

I can't imagine that the massive Huntington compound doesn't have an auxiliary generator/power unit and cell tower. . When i grew up in San Diego we used to dig ocean fossils and huge scallop shells out of Mt. Soledad a couple hundred feet above the current sea level. Now I'm only guessing, but there must have been some warming and the ocean drying up. There has always been climate change since earth began millions or billions of years ago.

1970s, we were supposed to be facing a new ice age. 1980s, it was the ozone layer was going away, we were all going to get cooked. 1990s, it was acid rain was going to kill all the crops and I guess melt all our faces. Then it was global warming, then global weirding, now catastrophic manmade global climate change. Uh huh. Can someone please explain to me why the mid to late 1940s or a few years later weren't like crazy hot, what with all the gasoline and diesel vehicles, all the coal and oil fired ships, all the bombs, artillery shells, ridiculous amounts of small arms fired, stuff set on fire, things I'm undoubtedly forgetting?

If a tree falls in the forest and KZbin demonitizes it? By the way, here is red-county, blue-state Oregon, fall is in the air. My biggest concern is finding volunteers for the local gun club's annual Hunter's Sight In. Are you guys busy in a couple of weeks??? See ya!
@leathersaddlehorse
@leathersaddlehorse Жыл бұрын
Our gun club has the same problem getting volunteers. All the traditional volunteers are getting old and dying off, and the young folks are not stepping up to take our place. It's even worse finding workers to help build new improvements. Good luck. We are on the red side of an overwhelming blue majority side of Colorado. It sucks!!

Follow the money- it all about money. Keeps the grant money flowing. And don't apply engineering to the issue. No life cycle calculations.

I'm so relieved that the people who have studied and worked in a field for decades and actually know what they're talking about have been proven wrong by a couple of guys with zero knowledge or experience to back up their yammering. What's silly is that you can't even be bothered to look at Wikipedia - try looking at global cooling, for example. You know, we in the pro-gun community (correctly) criticize ignorant laws pushed by people with no expertise with guns. And here you are, spending 28 minutes showing how two people ignorant of climate science make themselves look just as buffoonish. But, hey, Tucker Carlson has probably told you everything you think you need to know. And, using your platform to complain to your audience that you can't talk about something is just flat bizarre. "Help, help, I'm being oppressed!" Remember, you asked for feedback, and comments feed the algorithm. Will that stop you from complaining about this comment? Somehow, I doubt it.
