Lords of the Fallen 2023 deserves a mention. One ending is Deacons of the Deep during a lore dump…. Maybe just me but I prefer memorable & tough fights as the final boss instead of something that could’ve been done in a cutscene lmao.

@@cplegogame25 It’s for sure a head scratcher man. I couldn’t believe that they A. Rebooted the most hated souls-like series, B. Dropped it in a horrendous state to try & compete with Lies of P, & C. Have two of the worst endings in a game I’ve ever gotten. Wanted to enjoy it I really did but they tweaked once endings came up. One out of three endings is good but it requires doing hard to follow quest lines & shit just a real pain in the ass to feel satisfied with the product.

I think a lot of people would put Demyx from Kingdom Hearts 2 on a list like this, but I'd argue he's one of the game's best. He doesn't take any of your attack-spam nonsense and will punish you into next week for not paying attention. Everything he does can be countered, though, if you only figure out how. He forces you to actually learn the game's mechanics on higher difficulties, and is a highlight of every Final Mix critical mode playthrough for me. If only every boss was designed like Demyx. The boss fight I'd nominate is either Hades escape or Pete 2. You just do not have the tools to deal with either one effectively, and on critical mode, just about everything 2-shots you that early in the game. Not to mention both are annoyances. Every time you restart Hades escape, you have to deal with Auron entering your party, taking care of his equipment, abilities, strategy, and more. Pete 2 comes in two parts, with multiple cutscenes between them, where it's not actually clear what you need to do to progress. I have had Pete at 1 HP for a while in the first part, and the game insists that's not enough. Not to mention it fully heals Pete for part 2. Both Hades escape and Pete 2 also have fast-moving minor enemies harassing you in tight quarters. Olympus Colosseum is an annoying roadblock every time I play that game.

I feel like MMO boss fights are bit harder to quantify their difficulty and level of annoyance since there are many factors at play (your gear, the other players, if your soloing, etc.) , and while I wouldn't go as far to say that the Jabberwok is the crappiest of its game (Since there has been far worse gimmick fights since, and it has a revamped fight) , I can still understand how it can be an obnoxious fight, epically if you're attempting to solo it. Honestly there's probably a laundry list of bad fights to be found here.. As for other games, the only boss I got off the top of my head was that boss from the Ice Mansion in Luigi's Mansion 2, having both gyro controls AND having the boss spin around with a limited time window to beat it was just irritating (maybe i was just bad)

Mr Dark from rayman 1 should've been an honorary mention tho, my first time experiencing raw stress and frustration was with this game and all that hard work only for him to do jackshit while throwing you dollar store bowser fireballs in a closed space, leave the stage and sending the previous bosses with 1/4 of their original health, you expect him to return but NOPE that's all I guess. Thank god Rayman Redemption gave him an actual boss fight and improved everything else lol Edit: Nice video btw, keep up the good work! I really liked your dead rising psychopath ranking video

for me the worst one would be cortex from crash 2. one of the greatest games ive ever played and that fight literally took me less than 25 seconds to beat him.

maybe it's just me but... I kinda think Peep is worse!! I hate how Peep's yellow shots go in random directions. Bloat's brimstone is annoying as hell, yeah, but just stand diagonally left, diagonally right, or above him and you're good. Also Little Horn in Super Meat Boy was so horrendously annoying that it single-handedly killed my enjoyment of the game so far. I still haven't regained the motivation to play further.

really sucks that Little Horn is so bad because the rest of the game is great. Also it's interesting you found Peep more annoying cuz i never thought he was awful

I played Dead Rising 4 recently, and yeah, that finally boss was terrible. The whole game's story was awful to be honest, but that final boss was just the worst part of the entire thing.
