True, it's a low budget B picture, but it works. LIked the cast; all the roles were filled well. Liked the early explanation as to what happened to the astronaut. The subsequent infection of the young man was a useful twist. The Crawling Hand was spooky enough but lacked enough size and locomotion to be a realistic, escalating threat. Jumping to the young man gave the thing a full body to work with. There were a few loose ends, such as why only the young man and not the other victim/contacts. The same with the cats. Better than average script.

Enjoyable "bad" movie. Great job by the CCC cultists riffing this one. It was a blast! It should have been relased as a dark comedy rather than sci-fi. But it works for me. 2.5 STARS all night long or until the mascara budget runs out.

Oh lord. Saw this one time like 50 years ago. One of two moves that scared the bejesus out of me, other one was the movie where scientists fiancé loses her head in a car accident and he keeps it alive. My sister got one of those makeup barbie doll heads shortly after for Xmas, wake up seeing that thing on the dresser, omg hated my sister for it.

When I saw this movie as a kid of 12, I was not allowed to watch TV at night , so I used to turn the TV on with the Sound off! Then clime up the tree outside into the cubby house, then tune my radio to the FM band & listen to the sound on that , sitting in the dark after 12 at night , it was traumatic to say the least, so I haven’t seen this movie since then ! I didn’t remember the Skipper being in it ! But it was not exactly scary anymore 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
