My cousin Sheldon, who played Lew the lusty lab assistant in this film, died last Thursday at the ripe age of 95. He was a husband and father, and though he never really made it as an actor he was so handsome and suave and cool that having him in the family was like being related to James Bond. He was also far more urbane and witty in real life than he was ever allowed to be onscreen. Peace on your journey, Cousin.

Thank you for sharing About Sheldon! I saw this movie as a young kid in the 70’s on a late night scary movie double feature. I thought the movie was really interesting at the time. As an adult it’s great to learn about the people involved in something one remembers from their childhood. Maybe you could help make a Wikipedia page for Sheldon, I noticed there wasn’t one.

Lee Wilder co-directing, I know what I'm going to be watching this Labor Day weekend!! (Actually, I probably won't wait for the weekend, but watch it tonight!) Wilder made many entertaining low-budget films like The Glass Alibi and its remake The Big Bluff, and a unique early noir called The Pretender with Albert Dekker that featured fantastic photography by noir specialist John Alton.
