What hotel you stay in ? I solo'd Vegas about 5-6 weeks ago too and stayed in Luxor was decent price. F1 has the strip in a bit of a shit state, you'd usually get a much better view of the Bellagio fountain otherwise.

When I visited Las Vegas there were lots of beggars everywhere. And the stench of Weed everywhere.

The image of Las Vegas has changed it isn't the wild reputation that it once was It's been rebuilt as a mega city A different class of tourism
