I still think Stevie is the best route runner of all time. 3 straight 1000 yard seasons on a run first team with no much else on offense so they could double team. He wasn't the biggest dude and he wasn't fast, but was almost always open. Only receiver the one season to get a touchdown on Revis. We called him jelly legs because of the odd way he would make cuts and jukes.

Julian Harrison would be a bit crazy for most teams, but if you look at Steelers historical stats, they stand alone by far when they have leads on opponents. I believe they have only 5 losses when up by 10 at ANY time in the game and something like 2 losses when up by 11 or more. Those two conditions have been met hundreds of times and yet regardless of year or opponent or quarter of the game....they simply don't lose when ahead by those margins. This is over a span of 86 yrs!! No other team comes even close with those same margins in place. It's Pittsburgh then an ocean of distance to the next best team in that regard.

Don't forget the 1999 Music City Miracle in Wild Card Playoff (that started the longest Playoff drought in the NFL till 2 years ago), plus the 2007 Monday night football (finally primetime game in Buffalo) game against the Cowboys where the Bills, gave up an onside kick and FG winning kick as time expired. This game, and then obviously Norwood wide right (SB) against the Giants. There have been many others the last 30 years but those are the ones that really come to mind.

It was a year characterized by a bunch of close loses Just double checked they went 4-12 but of the loses 6 were determined by 1 score, 4 by a field goal, 3 of them coming in overtime. Flip those to wins that would have been good enough for a 10-6 record and a wild card berth.

IND @ NO, 2003 (ESPN SNF; Colts scored a lot, forget if it was a blowout or shootout, but pretty sure IND won). SD @ MIN, 2007 (Adrian Peterson breaks Jamal Lewis' single-game rushing record). Really like reliving these throwback games (from 1998 on, the first year I started watching the NFL).

Important thing to remember from this game: the Steelers had the #1 rushing defense in the league at this point in time. Knowing this, the Bills instead threw the ball A LOT and only ran to keep Pittsburgh honest. Now, the Bills did not win this game, but Chan Gailey provided the blueprint needed to beat the Steelers, one that the Packers used successfully in the Super Bowl that year.
