I’m mid 60s, retired Navy. The year I made O-6, same year I turned 50, with wife’s permission, I bought a 1990 Baltic Blue S2 Cabriolet. I still have the car, and as I live in New England, she is stored 6-8 months of the year. Every time-and I mean EVERY time-I take her out, she gets positive comments from others. While I have fewer years left on this planet, than I’ve already lived, I’ll not part with her….because whether the Tail of the Dragon, the Outer Banks, up the Blue Ridge Parkway/Skyline Drive, and the Kancamagus Highway in the Whites, she always brings smiles with the miles. I don’t know this 944 Barn guy from Adam, but I do so admire his absolute love for this car!

In December of 2021 I found a 1989 944 Turbo with 75,000 original miles on it. It is great condition. I love this car. I used to have an 86 turbo and sold it 20 years ago and always regretted it. Now my dream is alive again. 😍

Hey my friend in mind, same with me. In 2003 i drove the 924 2,0ltr of a friend of mine and thought ''what a awesome feeling, but need more power and more aggressive look''. So i bought my first 944 2,5 with 163hp for about 1.700,- € 😅. Sold it 2007 an since that day i damn this decision. Now, after 17 years of sadness, i bought a 89er 951 with 250hp in very good condition with about 185.000 km Since that day i am just happy, while the turbo is just standing in my garage 😅 Will bring it on street next month, when spring is coming. For me it's like christmas and birthday in the age of a 6 year old boy. 😂❤ 944

My very first car was a black on black 84' 944. I absolutely loved that car! I nearly died in an accident in it that was not my fault. One day I would like to have another one. Awesome. The jack stands under the rockers are a common mechanic error tho there are actual jack points behind the rocker. The rocker itself folds up under the weight. Super annoying when your car comes back w dents in the rockers.

Swapping an ls1 into my guards red 88 944s but some of those builds are insanely cool and the quantity of unique units was unbelievable. Great special attention to those silver roses. They just plain don't exist. Great vid!

The LS1 is gonna be sweet for sure. I blew the stock 2.5 up, and Instead of the LS route, I bought a chipped 3.0 944 s2 engine from Elliott. Thought I’d be saving money, but the cost was not very far off in the end from an LS swap came in just under 10

@@jacksonnorber41 the 3.0L is indeed quite a beast and for keeping it still under the Stuttgart badge for an upgrade its a very respectable one especially chipped. I just couldn't keep sweating a timing belt meltdown with all the valves being bent and the gen 3 is so thoroughly supported with common parts everywhere. Intent was to add a big swing of reliability to it being a daily driver with grins on every pull. Should be plenty with my competition cam, an h pipe and turbo transaxle with LSD.
