I was working for both Sumlin and Fisch while in college as a support staff member. Huge difference in so many areas in preparation and and goal setting. We could tell from day one and through 2021 how much better the team was getting. The 1-11 record was an overhang from the previous staff but they played so much better. We knew then they bought in. Takes time to rebuild. Fisch is the man for the job.

@@SBoss281 I think he started recruiting before 2024 season ..lol Landing 5 star T. McMillan, getting Jacob Cowing who lead (or close to it) the country in receptions. Getting Jayden DeLaura to turn this around. That 2022 class recruiting class was ranked 29th in the country and 3rd in the Pac12. It isn't easy when you have been bottom feeders for the past 4 years Getting other 3 star players that have been studs like Manu, Coleman. Getting Norton from Georgia wasn't bad. You don't go from 1 win to 5 wins to this season with already 5 wins without being able to draw players to a program. So let me ask you, if he isn't drawing players as you say, how did they turn this around??

Good video, but the great year that the Wildcats had when they beat Oregon, won the Pac-12 South, and won their bowl game was largely due to their QB, start to finish that season, B J Denker. Soloman came later. Denker did a great job, basically mistake-free. He threw for about 25 TD's, had only 7 interceptions, and ran for about 11 more. He was efficient, smart, and accurate. He ran the offense. He was a junior college transfer and didn't get to play until his senior year. He started all games and was injury-free. Many people have forgotten him. Soloman, too was a good QB, but Denker is the QB that lead the Wildcats to a great season in 2013.

2014 was when we won the Pac-12 South. We lost the Fiesta Bowl that year, and Anu Soloman was the QB. Denker the year before. We beat Oregon in both years though

Yeah I attended BYU but grew up in Arizona so it'll be good to see these two teams in the same league AGAIN after all these years. Don't hate me but am also happy the Sun Devils are coming along too... my home state squads and BYU. Glad I lived long enough to see this happen... so far😁. Believe it or not I have actually been on field in both Tempe and Tucson... albeit in marching band in high school back in '81. And Arizona's field is gorgeous these days. As a Tucsonan I can honestly say that I've been a fan since I was probably about 9 years old, I turned 40 this year and I've been through all the ups and downs of the program since. Having said that I continued to support the teams each year and have been to many memorable games including the win against Iowa here in Tucson. I will never stop supporting the football program here at the U of A and this rise is only going to get better as of last night they beat a ranked UCLA team here at home to become bowl eligible and made it 3 straight wins against top 25 opponents for the first time in program history. BEAR DOWN!!

I was 13 years old, ever year we had season tickets and this game we were getting SPANKED. I was so disappointed I started walking around the stadium up to no good. All the sudden it’s starting to become a game.. and i go back to my seats and a lot of the fans had already left. Sure enough AZ makes an incredible comeback and with seconds left it felt like the ball was in the air forever! I couldn’t believe Cayleb Jones actually caught it. Once they confirmed the TD the field was rushed. I ran on the field and met so many players. Best game I’ve ever been to pro or college for sure. S/o to you cal fans!!
