Let's look at some weird and strange clips from the world of Christianity on line. but not just your regular normal Christians.. these people are ... a little bit weird.

My camera cut me off at an important point I was making (it only records for 30 minutes then you have to start again) Regarding the “saved from being gay” people. I know 3 people in real life, 3 men, who went through feeling they couldn’t be gay because of their religion (not all Christians) and were “saved” they then went on to marry women and had children. Later into their relationship they realised there is no such thing as being “ex gay” and divorced their wives because … they are gay . By trying to “improve” these men’s lives they have in turn potentially ruined others along the way.

I agree I feel badly for anyone who can’t be who they are. Why can’t people be who they are. This hurts me so badly I have many gay friends men and women I’m happy they can express themselves and be who they are ♥️

The screaming, pray over you Bible thumpers are so cringy, I believe in a higher power, just don't believe it's who or what they say it is. And all them "I am delivert, I'm not gay no more" folks are the very ones bent over for the preachers and deacons in basements, while his wife and kids are tucked away in the pews upstairs 🤭 cuz they believe if they tell the lie enough they'll be able to convince themselves and everyone else, instead of being who tf they are 🙄 😒

I just don't want people telling/yelling at me what I should or should not believe. I had someone I know post a picture of a man in a dress on FB and say, " What is this world coming to? God has to be disappointed in us" So my response was a photo of Jesus in what some might consider a dress and wrote, "Yeah I know he wore it better." Not sure why he unfriended me 😂😂

I really h*te all the saving missions. Like you said, people are born this way. Why do people who believe in a book mean their opinion about sexuality matters more? And worse: I know a guy, he used to be a friend of mine AND the best friend of a dear friend of mine (who came out to me 2 years ago). This person once said "if God had wanted men to love each other, they would be able to have children" we got in a huge fight, because he's one of those occasional christians, who only go to church at Christmas (if at all) and then he comes up with god as an argument???? I didn't know at that time that my friend was gay, but I'm glad I fought with the other person, so my friend knew he could trust me. I'm a born Christian, and I have problems not to believe in any kind of god because I was raised to believe. But I definitely don't believe in the church. People act really blind the more they believe in God.

My grandmother was raised souther Baptist and HATED church. She was a religious woman. Especially in her final days. But she was privately religious. She said growing up she'd watch people go out on Friday and Saturday night, drinking, cheating on their spouses, beating their wife and kids, doing all manner of awful things. Then they'd slink into church on Sunday in their best clothes, hungover and acting holier than thou. Like you couldn't smell the booze on their breathe or see the bruises on their wife and kids. Turned her off all organized religion. She believed her relationship with God was just that, between her and her God.

Sometimes I know it isn't too bad, mainly cause some of those 'healed' gay men are actually just bisexuals who don't know that bisexuality is a thing.
@lethfuil2 ай бұрын
@@wingsablaze8386 Given that in many ancient (and even not so ancient) civilizations/society bisexuality was basically seen as the default (for example there's greek and roman texts making fun of people who just like the other gender instead of both. They where called weird, pitifully and crazy. Purely gay often wasn't officially allowed, but that's another story, the point is that straight was openly belittled. (Which also isn't right! But that's also not the point)) I'd bet it's preeetty common. And my theory is that at least the absolute majority of people that think being gay is a choice do think so, because they could actively chose to only get intimate with the opposite gender. Because they're bi, without knowing so.

I'm a Christian but I see this behavior as gross and intrusive self-righteousness. I guess I just feel that being humble and meek, yet secure in my Christianity, speaks more loudly than actually screaming and being an off-putting, nearing unapproachable, personality. I also agree that you cannot "pray the gay away." Why would you want to? God lovingly made you exactly as you are and told us his greatest gift is LOVE! I say be who you are and if God blesses you with a partner that loves you, regardless of your sexuality, be thankful for that blessing. ❤

Exactly this!!! To me, my faith is very personal. I dont talk a lot about it except for in situations like this. This is why people get scared of religion or view religious people as insane!! I believe being born gay is how they were meant to be in God's eyes. There is no praying the gay away! I have gay friends, my best friend is a buddhist. I talk about my faith to people I trust but no one else simply because it is so personal for me. It scares me when Christians get loud and insane and scream in peoples' faces that God loves them/they go to hell if they dont do a/b/c etc. I really dont like that! I'm a person of (Christian) faith, but I take exception with people who think you must make even the tiniest things religious, to the point of obsession. It can really make you crazy. I had someone tell me, when I was a teen, I should control my thoughts. This led to obsessive and intrusive thoughts and a form of OCD called scrupulosity. I struggle with this every day of my life. I still believe in God and Jesus but am deconstructing from organized religion. I also do not judge anyone. I know that I cannot know the mind of God and I am not God. I just try to live the best life I can and love everyone. The information for any religion is prevalent and I think trying to evangelize really does more harm than good. JMHO.

When students were not as devoted or had questions, they often felt that their faith in yoga was being put down or whatever. When I find out they've had addiction in the past... I had to back away cuz replacing drugs with yoga is one thing. That's their choice, but being upset with others for not being as into it as them... I'm good, I don't need that manipulation.

I'm a christian pastor's kid. Evangelizing is literally the mission, so as a christian you're expected to shout Jesus' name from the rooftops to spread his name. Growing up in that evangelical christian bubble, this is normalized where you don't even realize how weird, strange, or disturbing it actually is. I used to go on missions and lead worship during services. Casually bringing in Jesus in all conversations to evangelize, even with the "little" things, is all just considered "normal". After leaving the church and becoming atheist, I cringe at evangelism tactics and practices. This is why, when you're a christian, they tell you to marry a fellow christian and surround yourself with other fellow christians - so you can stay in that bubble and never question any of it 😅

Evangelism is the problem. I think a lot of religious folks feel perfectly comfortable keeping their religious beliefs between them and their God(s) but some sects of Christianity tell followers they must proselytize to everyone they meet or else those people might go to hell (the implication being that the loss of their souls is the disciple's fault for not bearing witness at every opportunity).
