Twister isn't a board game. It's classified in the "physical skill game" genre. It has absolutely no elements of a board game. Also, Walmart has no "game board section." They have a toy section. In that section, it has a section full of games of all genres. Calling it the board game section would mean that UNO, Phase 10, and other card games are board games. They are not.

I am a huge fan of DGR so hope no one takes this the wrong way, but his passion for Mario Maker has clearly turned into a mundane job that is more of a chore than fun. I can't blame him... if I had to do it as much as he has id be tired of it too... he clearly just plays to finislrvee level and get it over with. Just rush through as quick and recklessly as possible to get it over with.

The twister mat is the board and the players' pieces are the players' parts. There is no need for "tabletop" to be in the definition. Boggle is also a board with moving pieces. The bubble over it is just a container for the action. The difference is that the chance element is in how the whole board falls once rather than players individually progressing by dice or whatever. The writing pads and spinner also qualify as boards. Yeah, those are board games.
