Everything you play most likely won’t matter at some point and you could look at it in different ways. I wouldn’t say everything I did went down the drain or was ‘wasted’ because I genuinely enjoyed almost every second of playing the game. I just wish I could still enjoy playing as godzilla a bit more because I wasn’t quite ready to totally give it up yet. I’m may never totally grow out of godzilla but eventually I would’ve with ku. It’s downfall just came too soon. Still, I never really took the game for granted despite not being happy with it sometimes and getting a little bored with it. I still hopped on it almost every day because I liked it. I’m glad I got to play it as much as I did, especially at its peaks, so I don’t really regret much.

as someone who used to play ku 24/7 (sure yall can relate and from either 2019/2020 till the shutdown), after the purge, ka was there for...a certain amount if time and my love for ku just...slowly went away and im sure yall understand because of age and all of that, and for the past few months (not saying yall should 100% play the game and im sure yall know blade), i have been playing a game called "Pillar Chase 2" which was a game that blade made a 1st game awhile back. As someone who played Kaiju Universe since 2021, I found a light in KU as I started playing it. It was fun for 3 years, it was golden. The only good Godzilla game with lots of Kaiju, teamers, and of course Godzillas from different time periods. It was a delight to see Godzilla since I heavily glazed him a lot (yes I am a Godzilla fanboy) and I absolutely despised Destroyah players who revenge kill me. Since the Biolante update and the shutdown, I was heartbroken to see that KU had shut down due to Toho DCMA request. I don’t blame Toho, I just miss the old days…..

I really miss Kaiju Universe, even tho there were serious allegations, and insanely toxic community. I once even had a friend who I met in Kaiju Universe. He was really nice and loved the game like me, until we became enemies beacuse of his stupid friends who were toxic like radioactive waste, but we shortly after became friends again. After that, I was happy, but there were more to come, and the 3rd time we became enemies ended our friendship, for now. He was getting toxicer and toxicer each day. There were many other terrible stuff that happened to me that's related to Kaiju Universe, but I still loved the game and supported it. Yes, there were times when I sometimes did regret doing so, such as when Verret and Kaiju Universe staff were exposed for TERRIBLE stuff. I was introduced to the game by one of my friends who I still have friended, but I haven't had any contact with him since 2022, and it might mean something really bad. After Kaiju Universe was shut down, I was pretty sad and bored, since it was my favourite game. It wasn't my only favourite, but I still REALLY missed it. After it came back, I was kind of angry, since it didn't came the day it was promised to come back at, and there were only a few kaijus, but the new map was beatiful. I enjoyed the new map a lot, but I was kind of disappointed. I saw other people being REALLY angry at TOHO for this, I even watch TOHO on KZbin (not a lot nowadays, not beacuse of the purge), and I saw people in the comment section begging the company to allow Kaiju Universe to exist. Some were making fun of this. I also saw in groupwalls, other comment sections, everywhere. TOHO got a lot of hate. I was really sad, but I wasn't hating on TOHO, and tried to calm some people down whose were angry over this. I just moved on, and I sometimes visit Kaiju Universe. I didn't really play other kaiju games, just Kaiju Arisen 5.0 (I was also really sad when 4.0 was shut down), and stopped over time. I know a few kaiju games, but they aren't really fun, plus every good kaiju game was shut down. Kaiju Revolution required me to pay 100 R$ which I didn't, and now, I don't even want to play it, beacuse I saw someone's comment which explained the allegations. I really do miss Kaiju Universe...

I loved the game a lot. The way it played, the way it was structured, the quality of the models, it was perfect. Was really sad when it got shut down, especially since 1 had so much progress in the game, and 1 was kinda mad at TOHO for a while since 1 didn't fully understand why they did what they did, so it just kinda seemed like an out-of-the-blue dick move. I've been doing other things to spend my time, working with projects instead. I loved kaiju, and still do, so I did my best to find other ways to keep doing stuff with them. I'm currently making plans for a glowing cardboard evo-Godzilla head mount as a project for winter break.

Man, I’m sad. I’m sad that Kaiju Universe changed, I didn’t play it enough when it was still based on Godzilla. I played the game yesterday, and I saw all these kaijus I didn’t know. And it slowly came to me that they rebranded it from Godzilla to something completely different, and that kinda affected me tbh. Another thing, though Kaiju Revolution is just about the last hope we have for godzilla games on roblox, purchasing ‘early access’ is optional. It’s pretty self-explanatory, assuming there’s nothing shady happening. It’s just an option to gain some perks when the game fully releases, to test stuff they add incrementally, and to fund the game as it develops. Nobody is forcing you to pay for this and they have very clearly said the game will NOT cost anything on release. That’s how beta works.

Aside from the obvious, yeah, there was a lot of shadiness that went down with the entire team of KR behind the scenes, as I was one of many vocal people that called out obie for this entire “We have a license” crap. Then having many arguements and interactions with Obie himself. Other than that, that’s all i have to say. Playing KU back in late 2020, it was fun while it lasted. And even though it’s over, we should cherish the memories of KU and the friends and chaotic and wacky shit that happened throughout the year. Godzilla games that aren’t made by Toho (at least big games like The Pipework trilogy and PS4) May be gone forever but the memories that we formed will last forever. And that is something, they can never take away from us.

I know that most of you may or may not know this, but I will just say this; Japan is very strict when it comes to copyright and ownership of certain characters, like Godzilla himself and Super Mario. Sure, there is other mascots made by them, but at the end of the day, they will do anything in their power to keep the image of their character, even if it means to ruin someone's career/life. America laws are very different compared to Japan's, and Japan does not play, and I mean it. Its a losing battle you don't want to fight. Its Toho vs. a group of Kaiju fans, who's gonna win? It would’ve been nice if toho was a little more forgiving. They weren’t in the wrong, but these games were the best games up for kaiju topic. In my opinion, playing these games was one of the best ways to engage with godzilla fans, but I won’t give them too much credit. It just felt good to see ku with thousands of active players on average, especially after godzilla minus one release. Knowing I could get on roblox to play one of the only things that truly interested me, to this. It’s not even worth playing ku anymore. Sad that they didn’t see the opportunities in KU and just shut everything down. *Guess Toho showed their fans just how much they mean to them.*

Personally I think after the game got shutdown when it came back I lost my spark for it. My love for the game dimmed and the game isn’t what it used to be. But honestly it could still be fun but personally I’ll never forget the memories I made in KU but man it’s not what it was originally gonna be.

Not to mention that when kr was "announced", ku just got back up and so many people hated on it because "no godzilla😢" so OG staff did a lot of hate comments on ku to get people on their side and make their game more popular because of that like "our game will be 10x times better than the shit ku is now" (or smth) and "i love playing kaiju shitverse" and this raised a lot the hate which is terrible. Sometimes i actually believe some staff members are minors

From what I’ve seen, they have an agreement with Toho to use their ip to make a game, and then Toho will evaluate the first full release, and that will decide if they get to stay up.
