Willie Mitchell was an excellent producer, and the work that he did with Al Green was pure magic. And I love all of the work that Willie Mitchell did with Al Green, but my personal favorite album is Al Green's "Let's Stay Together"!

Thank you! Willie was the architect of Southern Soul. A musical giant. I was lucky enough to see him onstage with Otis Clay, Ann Peebles and others in the eighties in London. His single That Driving Beat was huge in the Northern Soul scene

Damn . Willie worked with the heavyweights! Booker Little, Charles Lloyd, George Coleman, Phineas Newborn Jr! No wonder Al Green got off to a rocket start when he hooked up with him. He could not miss.
