This was a fantastic episode Father Chris, going through the Nicene Creed, line by line. I am such a word nerd. I enjoyed every bit of going through the CREDO line by line. There was a time when I could recite it/read it in Latin. The highlights for me were: “under Pontius Pilate “ affirming Jesus’ verifiable presence on earth and the events of His passion as true historical events. You teach us that Jesus’ Word, is powered by the Holy Spirit. Imagine that! I looked up the Latin word for breath and it is SPIRITUS! You really presented an all star cast. What an incredible life Father Bors has lead, and he echoed your teaching that God always brings greater good out of bad and tragic. We never know where God will lead us do we, so I continue to delight in the way HE works in my life. Thank you for bringing Scott Hahn on the show. He is a true superstar, not unlike his best student, you. I was fortunate to meet him years ago, and I had a brief conversation with him. He gave me some very wise advice. He told me that “FAITH IS A GIFT” and we can only pray that loved ones accept this gift from God. Finally, you always bring it full circle with a beautiful paragraph from Saint Faustina‘s diary. I pray for your fruitful Advent. How blessed are we as Catholics to have such amazing scholars who love God so much and who pique our desire to know our faith more, so we can love it more. Thank you, Father Chris, for being such an extraordinary gift to our faith and continuing to present the A-Team to us.

Thank you, Fr. Chris as always for all the things that you do for us. I have been praying for Fr. Don's parents recovery from the accidents they had, as well as praying for Saint Faustina to be made the Doctor of the Church. It was in year 2020 on the 3rd of March, Jesus has said to me, "I love you, be happy For Me." And right now I am thinking that, on the private 3 time appearances of Pope Saint John Paul ll, I chose to paint him along with his word, "I am with you, therefore no harm can befall you." I believe that Jesus and John Paul ll as well as smile of the Immaculate Heart of Mary would all be very happy, if St. Faustina be made as Doctor of the Church. I am unable to use my email or any other means, since I prevent my mobile hijacking or getting the virus attack. I didn't like it. Anyway, I am continuing to pray for St.Faustina to be made a Doctor of the Church. God bless you, Fr. Chris. ❤ Sabina

After the Our Father, the prayer that Jesus taught us, I love to pray The Creed because it’s a holy profession of our faith as a children of God. It gives so much joy and peace and the longing for heaven. Thanks for the line by line explanation, Fr. Chris, assuring us of a clear understanding of every part in what we believe. Our faith is so beautiful, pure and deep that incites us to share. Thanks to Fr. James Bors for sharing his amazing story and the joy of being a priest now. Thanks be to God for He knows what’s best for each one of us. Always grateful to you, Fr. Chris, and your excellent team and my endless prayers for all of you for upholding your mission for the salvation of souls.

I was born in the 60's. I grew up saying "one in being" with the Father instead of 'consubstantial' with the Father. When I rejoined the Church several years ago, I was surprised by the change of wording in the creed - and why was there a need to change it. Also, I find that young parishioners have trouble pronouncing and understanding the word consubstantial. 'One in being' is simplistic and easy to comprehend versus consubstantial.

Can you confirm that there is also an extended form of the Creed, written by St Athanasius to counter the Arian heresy. This extended creed used to be read at Mass on Trinity Sunday.

I have seen the Holy Ghost as a HAND. The top three fingers ( pinky, ring, and middle)as the FATHER. The pointer and thumb as the beak of the hand- 🕊️ dove. They formed an open beak. So the hand was a Dove; but both the Father and Holy Ghost. The Father was the top of the Hand. A seam ran through the Hand-Dove. The Son Came from the Hand -Dove, out of the seam( I did not see this happen; but there was one bird, then two. This happened on May 8, 2017 in the SW sky and the Son was the shape of a Hand-Bird. The thumb was on top, unlike the Dove. It seamed like the Son-Bird Hand was made of all 5 fingers but facing outward with the thumb up. The Thumb was His Head and the other fingers were wings and a tall, but the Body had stripes and holes. The two hand birds made a pair of hands.

_ How can we be God's "adopted children", as you put it, when God created us - He did not adopt us - that would make Him separate from his creation which is in essence an emanation of His Beingness.
@esmysyield2023 Жыл бұрын
I am new but it would seem that He doesn't claim us until we claim him. Is that right Father Alar?
@wladicus1 Жыл бұрын
@@esmysyield2023 _ As long as there is a "someone" to claim or to do whatever, then there is a separation and unity and wholeness (holiness) is clouded or 'infected' by separative identities. The recognition of 'personal identity' as an illusion brings the realization of the reality of the Beingness of God as the only reality.
@esmysyield2023 Жыл бұрын
@@wladicus1 i am not sure I understand what you just said but if your saying that we are God I have to disagree. I will never be arrogant enough to think I come any where close to be God. And I am Italian so thats saying alot. I know my place and I am good with that. Lol.
@wladicus1 Жыл бұрын
@@esmysyield2023 _ I am not saying that. _ Many people seem to imagine it as such. However, a close approximation, although not completely accurate might be to say something like "God is being us as God is being all of creation". _ However, that does not sound quite right either. It is sort of in that direction. _ The problem for us human beings is that we, as the body and the mind, are finite, existential entities and truly incapable of comprehending even the tiniest iota of that which is the "infinite" or ineffable (God). _ We invent ideas, and philosophies, etc. in an attempt to temper the fears and shortcomings of our inability to really understand that which is beyond all human understanding. _ It appears that a helpful solution may be to realize the deceptions of thought and ask ourselves "To whom comes such a thought?", or "Who is it that thinks this?". Then realize that "I" thinks this. _ "I" which in essence is a thought and not really me. _ Thus a deep contemplation of "Who am I" follows. _ But we must be careful not to come up with an answer to this question because many answers are easily forthcoming from our conditioned mind (which is merely the activity of thought and feelings). All possible answers are misleading. _ The infinte, the ineffable, God - is beyond all our conceptions. Thought can never touch that REALITY. _ Only a total surrender of that which we think we are can result in realization of true being.
