Only one thing wrong with your uploads Sean, there's not enough of them! What a great village and superb cottage you are in here, I bet that cottage could tell a few tales, and the Church could be straight out of a '60's / '70's Hammer horror film. Superb as always. 👍👌

Thanks Kevin, yes its a lovely cottage. It was originally a manor house but now its split into two properties. Yes, I would love to make more vids. However, work and the great British weather dictates otherwise.

Thanks Lee, I am so glad that you enjoy my humble vids. Well, if only there were a few thousand more like you out there then I could hang up my garden fork and make videos full time. But sadly I can't see that happening anytime soon. Thanks for your kind words and support Lee, much appreciated my friend.

An excellent video and a macabre story in a beautiful and peaceful village. Village gossip and news must have been enlivened by this sad event. That snippet about the storm of ‘87 bringing a tree crashing onto the gravestone on the 100th anniversary is astonishing.

That was a lovely cottage. I'd never heard of this murder case before. I will have to read the book. I remember that storm of 87, it was murder to get to work, as trees had blocked the roads. Seems fated one hundred years to the day of his murder that a tree be fell the headstone. Miscarriage of justice perhaps? Always enjoy your uploads. Cheers Sean 😊
@Seany6317 күн бұрын
Cheers Kelly, yes it was a lovely place. The cottage used to be part of a manor house but now split into two properties. I also remember the storm, I was living in Skeggy at the time. The day after was like stepping into a scene from a disaster movie. Dozen of smashed caravans littered the roads. There was another big storm in 89, but no one seems to remember that one.

As always a great video set in rural tranquility with a gothic horror twist worthy of a Piers Haggard Tigon movie with Linda Hayden as Harriet, secretly entwining the mad curate in demonic rites during the full moon! Try to make some more content Sean, how about haunted Canewdon in Essex?
@Seany6317 күн бұрын
Thank you and yes Linda Hayden would be great in the movie. However, I think the real Harriet was more like Irene Handl. I am not familiar with Canewdon, but I visit Essex from time to time so I will definitely check out the ghost stories.

nice video of a rather unsolved murder or at least with a dubious conviction in a picturesque part of England....all we can ask looking back so far in time is Cui Bono ?? 8)
@Seany6317 күн бұрын
Thank you, and yes indeed. Harriet inherited over £900 after the murder, a hefty sum back in 1887.
@larrydude235617 күн бұрын
I'm sure you get asked this a lot Sean but I grew up in the Cherry Willingham and Fiskerton area just to the east of Lincoln. I'm very curious if there are any interesting or spooky tales about that area. I remember as a child that there was supposed to be the ghost of a woman who sat on the wall around the well which is outside the house opposite the church.
@Seany6316 күн бұрын
Hi larry, well back in the mid-1990s there was talk of the Fiskerton phantom. A creature said to resemble a small bear. There are also various legends surrounding the Wild Man of Stainfield. I've covered the stories in previous videos, However, I would like to make a more in-depth video about the wildman. That's all I know i`m afraid. Thanks for telling me about the ghostly woman on the wall, never heard that one.
