My only complaint about this is that if they wanted it to really be even more authentic, it would be a fully automatic turntable, but aside from that it has a very nice retro-vibe.

I returned my first one of these because of the amount of hum when the turn table is used. I returned the replacement unit also, the hum was still the, the turn table scraped on the top of the unit and couldn’t be adjusted to not scrape with the top, the Bluetooth background noise was unbelievably loud as well - I gave up and spent more money in the end

I love the channel. Why do you think this nice equipment wouldn't include a way to mechanically raise and lower the tone arm? Similarly, my ATLP60, which has a button for that, doesn't include a simple clasp for locking the tone arm. Your point about some cost-cutting on the manufacturer's part is well-taken. However, why do you think it's applied to such small necessities?

Oh wow this is much better and would fit into my office. LOL.. I grew up in the 60s and 70s and wish my record players had looked like that. Very nice design. The sound seemed good, even through my smart cellphone. As for the speakers, a decent pair of speaker stands would enhance the sound. If I can ask, do you buy all the different products or are they sent by the manufacturers for you to review them? Whichever the way, your videos are informative. Thanks.

I can't recommend this unit high enough, bought one a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love it. As a newbie to the vinyl world, it's the perfect system, great sound, super easy to use and awesome features. One thing that wasn't mentioned in this vid is that the controls for the cd player can also control the Bluetooth if your phone happens to be at the other end of the house which is pretty cool. The tone arm does feel a little flimsy, but maybe it's supposed to be like that, as it's my first record player, I have nothing to compare it too. I was nervous about getting a Crosley because of all the negative reviews, but this one is seriously awesome. Great vid and very informative as usual.

@@cleverkitsune4302 Yeah, dead right. I own a suitcase player, not Crosley branded, but a Digitnow M46. All LPs play excellently on it, it also has a cueing lever, which the one in this video sadly lacks. I do not feel like it is ruining records either, the claim is a total falsehood, and I use a diamond stylus on it too. I don't use the built in speakers, I use a pair of USB powered ones, the Logitech Z120s.

For tape decks you have to go vintage. Dolby doesn't license their NR anymore so you kind of have to go retro. Good news is vintage tape decks are cheap on Craigslist or at garage sales. I got my mid grade Pioneer for 10 bucks at a garage sale and it works perfectly. Thank you for watching!

I got it last night and have enjoyed it so far and it looks like I made a good choice going by what you have said and by my experience (so far) I can’t wait to go dig out my tapes and try it out. This is the record player I’m talking about kzbin.info/www/bejne/rGqxqIBurcSLaqM&feature=share It doesn’t look like I can record tapes to mp3 though. Is there any way I can record from tape? I actually have a tape of sentimental value to me where my mom is reading with me as a child and I really would like to preserve that.

Hey there. I have a question concerning my Crosley Cruiser deluxe, it's about a year old now and I've noticed that in order to get it to play at the correct speed I have to adjust the pitch faster than the middle notch rest where the accurate speed should be set, is this evidence that the grease on the inner workings is drying out?
@BisonGleeClub Жыл бұрын
I just bought this very same unit a week ago. I LOVE the look of it, but I’m having trouble with my records skipping quite badly. To the point that I can’t overlook it and I end up turning the system off. I’ve leveled it and checked the stylus, even though it’s brand new. I’ve tried new and old records. I’ve read that Crosleys can have issues with new records skipping more than old ones. I really like the look of this one and I don’t want to go to the trouble to box it up and return it, but it’s pretty much unusable. Any ideas on what I could do to remedy the problem?

Excellent product Record-ology. There's really only one thing that lets this player down, and that is the absence of a cueing lever for the turntable. My Digitnow M46 suitcase player has one, and I'd have to be pretty damn certain that most other players of the same type have one aswell. The lifting grip of the tone arm on this is more than manageable, and it does come with a lock, as indeed it should, but come on fellas, where's the cueing lever?

I’m kind of concerned about the interference when running the turntable. I know that he says it’s not the fault of the record player, but I’ve seen another video where it has the same issue. It’s pretty noticeable, and a definite dealbreaker for me. Does anybody who actually owns one have the interference?
@Recordology6 жыл бұрын
Fair question - its currently working perfectly in another part of the house. I have had this issue in this room before due to the lights. Merry Christmas!
@nathantroutman22515 жыл бұрын
You should be alright. I get interference even on my Vintage Receiver when my phone is on it, so don't think a little electrical interference is a big issue. Just be careful what you place around it. Phone and Computer chargers, among many other things can cause it. Obviously, they could've better insulated the components and that would've solved this, but seeing as it happens to even the good old stuff, I don't think you should worry too much.

The mode slider easily started to fault in the first few days and it turned the simple act of selecting an usage mode into a nuisance. Also, I don't know if it's just me barely knowing anything about Auto-stop or what, but this unit made me hate the feature overall, as I couldn't adjust it or even turn it off, effectively making it useless for 45s.

Umm, yes, you're right Barry. All suitcase players at least have cueing levers, why the hell doesn't this?
