This performance from Diana is just insanely good! It is one of her best performances during this show. It gave me some vibes of "Rechenka" with a with a finishing touch of "Human". No surprise she won this round of the show. I've also heard the original by Linda which wasn't bad by the way but as always Diana simply took this song to another level. She's really out of this world! Yes, Diana compressed this song somewhat but that just made it better because the last one to one and a half minutes of the original song were just more or less repetitives and also the intro took about thirty seconds. Diana's version is much more intense and captivating. What you're referring to is Diana's ability to sing polyphonic. She stimulates two different parts of her larynx at the same time which creates that unique voice that sounds like two people are singing at the same time. Not many singers are able to do that. When you listen to some of her older performances at the show "You are Super!" you'll recognize that she did that already there, too.

I wrote about another song "Mom, I'm Dancing" and by the way also "Human" and Anita Tikarom "Twist In My Sobriety" and "Crow" all songs are "dark". Diana "sanctified" them. I have been watching Diana's performance for 2.5 years (I recognized her in April 2019). ALWAYS all the songs that she sings become hers, she changes them, makes them "her own". I was surprised by the 2nd song in the contest "Mom I dance". Why? I haven't heard it before, I looked at the original song (everyone wrote that it was very popular) I didn'T like the "black song", but after Diana she became playful :). I remembered "HUMAN", the same story in the original was very bad in the song "vector of purpose", after Diana the song made sense. And it seems to me that all Diana's songs (I'm talking about covers), if the song is good like this song "Oh, it's not evening", she, like a sorceress, brings a cut that makes the song shine. If the song or the meaning of the song is "black" it will transform it. And a separate topic is the original songs written for Diana, there's not a song that's a masterpiece. There are no words.

When she was secluded w the pandemic she learned or seemed to have help using her voice to enrich her own backround tracks for singing. I couldnt tell exactly what sounds you were talking about in here but there were a ton of sounds used all throughout the performance so I wouldnt be suprised if they didnt use her voice as much as could be allowed for the show to enrich the performance.

The category was "Pop Hit" .. the song was "I am Crow" (I think). This is more of a variety show .. each of the 'Judges' are competing singers. Each one leaves the stands and sings .. nine of them. There is also one guest judge each episode. They grade themselves giving out scores from 2 to 9 to each of the other singers for their performance (they do not score themselves). The scoring is .. iffy at best with obvious votes for a friend and against perceived insult. My opinion is that the directors manipulate the process by what songs are given to the singers to perform with the intent to narrow the 'contest', I would not be surprised if the next two songs that Diana has to do will deliberately not fitting her voice to drop her score and let the others advance.

Some singer voice coaches including a couple of opera singers have said they can here a half or second octave in her voice in earlier songs. Theres a strong echo on this but i dont know if shes overlayed a backing track. The net effect is a excellent performance from the girl from Taglliachin....sorry correct me Russian readers. 🙄 The Answer you seek as to whats going on might be revealed if you listen to some traditional singers from Bulgaria ..la Voix de Bulgair and other polyphonic and shamanistic folk traditions from across typically the Tundra and sub tundra that seem to resonate from Faroe island ..listen to Eivor Trollabunden then to Sami or Lapps Yoiking then follow it through the Tuvan Throat singers of the stepps and peoples of Siberia into the Eskimo throat singers and then on to the music of N American natives. (Pellegra has a lead on her as an established adult star but Dianas definately creating her own path.)
