most people are fan of the film don't even had any idea that is based on a comic. they get outrage when they heard that the movie is getting rebooted lol
@RogueDragon057 жыл бұрын
Most people think that Brandon Lee and there angsty teenage memories of his death is the be all end all of The Crow, and while I would never try to take anything away from his performance, he wasent, personally I don't think he would have wanted his death to end anything but I of course did'nt know him, regardless I'd be cool with a new movie, I just don't want a reboot becuase Eric's tales been told and retold so many times now that it's pointless to do it yet again, Hollywood just thinks that the only thing thats going to sell is Eric's tale and thats not true in my opinion.

@@mosthated.e.2422 Eric's story has been told in the original comic and it's cross overs (which there must have been like at least half a dozen), as well as the movie, as well as the tv series, as well as later Image comic series, as well as a number of other references such as the City of Angels movie and all it's incarnations (comic/novel/video game) referencing Eric. Yes Eric's story has been done to death! (No pun intended) If by "most people don't know The Crow" you mean people under 30 I'll take your word for it, but most anyone over 30 is at least vaguely aware of Brandon Lee's death and The Crow movie. But my point isn't that Eric's story isn't any good but rather Eric's story isn't the end all be all of "The Crow" mythos, it's just one story and one incarnation... it's not like Star Wars where if your gonna redo it you have to remake Luke Skywalker. They don't HAVE to use Eric and his story they literally can tell any, back from the dead to seek revenge story in any culture at any point in time. With that kinda freedom why remake Eric's story for like the 6th time and they have been working on this remake for like 20 some years at this point, just do an independent story.

Coincidentally enough I just re-watched The Crow movie last nigh (Brandon Lee version) after over a year. It's not as impactful as I remember it when I watched it last year but I still really enjoyed it and I still want more! If only I could find the books easily...

I came across The Crow graphic novel some time ago (I'd say a couple months to a year ago) but I read other stuff that I was also interested in and I didn't buy it since I knew it'd be pricey and I'd rather pay for it myself. I may just use Amazon or e-bay but thanks for the tip

Hey Hollywood, you want to reboot the crow so badly here’s how you do it Option A: get Christopher Nolan to direct it Option B: just leave the crow alone because the 1994 movie with Brandon Lee was a masterpiece.

Unfortuantly with the exception of the original the comics aren't really that long or intreasting or detailed, witch is really a shame, some of them have great concepts but there usually only 3 or 4 short issues long

can someone explain the ending to the original arch to me. I really liked the book but the last part with the horse and the graveyard confused me
@N019R0C58 жыл бұрын
Basically, Eric's mercy-killing of the horse, is supposed to symbolize his final acceptance of the fact he wasn't able to help Shelly, and his discussion with the crow says he's been trapped by his anger at himself, and at the gang who attacked him and Shelly that night. That is the best way I can describe it
@jimmywilliamson82298 жыл бұрын
Cop McScotland oh ok cool thanks, but what about the cemetery scene? Did he shoot himself and go to heaven or is he just stuck on earth now?

The Crows powers in the comic you might notice never heal self inflicted injeries so when he blows his own brains out he's really gone finally, I think that it was abit of the futility that O'Barr was feeling with his own demons, all of the anger and pain that he poured into the comic did'nt free him like he hoped it might, it just made the pain worse.... utimiatly there was no way for Eric to bring Shelly back.... just to accept his death and perhaps join her in eternity. Thats my interputation

What powers did the magic crow give to people he resurrected?
@dahakaguardianofthetimelin47808 жыл бұрын
1. Because the avatars are dead they don't need food, sleep etc. They do not feel pain and recover instantly from any damage they receive. They also gain supernatural strength, speed, agility as well very refined reflexes. They can even scale buildings and possess great fighting skill. 2. There are some mental abilities like the ability to see images from their or their loved ones' memories as well as send those memories to others (like transmitting their beloved's pain to the people that killed them). Eric also could scan the events that happened by just touching the items that were involved. 3. Also apparently when the resurrected ignore their mission their abilities deteriorate and dissapear eventually killing them again.
@RogueDragon057 жыл бұрын
Every incarnation has it's own set of rules often times, some are pretty much universial but in some instances even though the Crow can usually take an unlimited amount of damage, in others there's a set limet too how much damage can be restored, The two stories that are most directly the creation of O'Barr do not give the Crow any weakness whatsoever, the only reason Eric "dies" eventually is that he blows his own brains out and self inflicted harm is not healed, and in Skinning the Wolves the "hero" just simply disappears into the darkness
