Kinda funny EMBN gives us a good race vid that's 13 minutes of just the power stage, while WB/UCI gives us a pity reel that's 5 minutes long at the end of the regular EDR vid... Take notes WB/UCI if you want to build the sport you need to let people actually see enough of it to get invested.
@MrSupermugen7 ай бұрын
WB have zero clue how to do bike racing, I must admit their DH live footage is pretty good but they still have a clueless clown commentating... But the UCI dont care about EWS anymore, They got lucky that Enduro bikes took off big time over the last 5 years but now its all changing as People are converting to park bikes and short travel rippers or Ebike and park bike(which i've done)

Uphill in a trials motorcycling style is the best bit of ebiking. Not so much about speed but minimising dabs. The aim is to get up sections “clean”, no dabs. Far more fun than racing up. I’m gobsmacked what I ride up with the extra squirt of power to 60yr old legs!

This was great to watch... more engaging than watching downhill runs! 😀 Maybe they should do the inverse of enduro where the uphill is timed and the downhill is simply a liaison stage 😅

In future, could you guys provide more coverage on the total climb. It’s really interesting.

I was on my Haibike ALLMTN 4 this morning and pulled up at a cash point machine. I was joined by a body builder who had biceps bigger than my thighs as he stood in his vest...He then said to me..."Ebike?...that's cheating"....I laught loudly and cycled off. It's as good as when I fixed my bike at work...give it a ride passing the smokers shelter and someone shouted..."Where's your helmet"...yeah, someone who could die of 13 types cancers, stroke, heart attack and COPD giving me safety advice 😂.

No not many of us could clean a 'World level' Power Stage Hey Steve, for climbing - any thought to trying one of those old school downhill seats (the really long ones) ?
@EMTB177 ай бұрын
I’m sure 80% of riders could clear or clean this climb. Now doing it under a clock or at the fastest speed possible is something totally different. Next time before you speak down.

disadvantage vs desavantage
@embn7 ай бұрын
Along those same lines, heavier athletes have to work harder to win a running race, there is the option to become lighter if it's your thing that you want to win at, but saying that they don't not win races. There's an old story that Usain Bolt was told he was too tall to win sprint races and now he's the most decorated Sprinter of all time.
@stevejones79567 ай бұрын
Kind of is yes you are totally right, Jose Borges (2nd on day) says he'll never win power stages because of his weight. It's also down to the steepness too
