Not sure if you saw it, but in an earlier video someone mentioned that even if you cancel a moon contract it does not automatically cancel the expedition you created to send the goods. That is why your trucks kept on loading the materials and trying to drive them out to places that don't need them anymore. If you cancel a contract that you have already started then you would need to cancel the expedition also. Also, resources that are currently on conveyor belts will be shown in your totals on the right but cannot be used until they reach a spot drones can take them from (storage bins or buildings with removal allowed). This is why buildings aren't getting made or repaired even though it says you have the resources, because they are all on a belt. If you need the resources immediately you can click the conveyor and dump the resources on the ground so that your drones can grab them.

Most of the resources for building are actually in boxes, that have been diverted from the main line.

I am so focused on the game, I dont even notice when the cat leaves. The screen real estate doesnt really show anything important... just focus ln the center of the screen.

From watching someone else playing this: I think it's not that the power lines have a limit, but the batteries have an output limit that's getting exceeded. I believe the larger batteries have a higher output limit, so either more batteries or getting to the research for the larger ones (if you haven't already) might help. Loving this series, thanks for sticking with it, even with the wonky bits!

Im quite aware of the out put capacity of the battties. I was just invetigating something another commentor said... which was definitely about power lines, and not about batteries.

Yeah, it seems that in the demo it was the powerlines that created an output problem for the power

54:00 Oh no, I think most of the new batteries and truck based become disconnected from the rest of the base when the old batteries were recycled. And I see that the bus took shape, on the video right after I mentioned it. So I'm betting the patter holds that the power will be reconnected the next episode. Great series, thanks!

Considering the backlog of iron you have I would recommend making a new factory set up with room to grow, it looks like you could run between 6-8 constantly without waiting for raw materials. You could put in in that open area where you ran the outer area hopper feed line through .

Could you put the 4 output regolith refiners in the middle of a bus? Like, if the regolith comes from north or south, belt undergound into the refiner and make the products go east or west, linking them up east to west. So you can stack the refiners east-west aligned in between the 2 lines top and 2 lines bottom product outflow.

Yeah, that's a great idea. The map, however, is quite limited. I believe we have found 90% of all the mines that exist, so the mining area at the base is really quite small. It's not like factorio that goes on forever into the distance.

I believe you are sending an expedition to pick up those expensive items, not sending the items. The send button is confusing. Why would you send those random items? It does say you are picking up those items.

It says "sending" the items. And I cant send an expedition unless I have all those items in stock.

its say send cause your sending the truck to pick up the items to bring back to the but if you look at the thing toward top where you load the truck it say pick up these items and if i remeber right when your sending items it says deliver items

The 3k science boost you are getting seems to be added to your "over time" totals. So the 3000 is divided over whatever time period the game sets. I don't play but this is just seeing the bonus in the video and the numbers in the upper right changed.

When you're looking at how much the contracts are paying, you're looking at the normal number, not the bonus. The last contract with the modular frames was exactly 100k in normal pay, bonus would be 200k. It would be extremely weird for the game to show only the bonus without showing the normal amount paid, or the penalty.

Really? I find it weird to not give the exact amount that is paid out, which should include any bonuses. When I am calculating when I want to do a contract, I dont want to have to do some random mental math. THats the job of a computer... it should give me the exact amount that will be paid out

@@KatherineOfSky yep, I agree that it should show the normal, the bonus & the penalty. Maybe they will change & include it in the future. I only know that 100k was the normal amount because you mentioned in the video that it was 2500 apiece & went to the calculator to check.

I think you selected the already loading truck for the pickup mission. I do wonder how that will collide with the previous fuel mission. 😅 Also, the amount of drones seems too low, since they are always busy. Should one invest in more of the regularly? Or just do less things in parallel? 🤔

A second observation is that the emergency contracts $$ do not include the bonus into the amount it shows you. Many of the contracts it looks like you could complete by purchase because of that. If you also noticed that then you didn't seem to mention it.

You need to work the vehicle center to be able to get resources from the serface

The rover equivalent of the flight control center. You then get the heavy vehicle factory that can build another kind of rover that mines regolith on the surface from the moon map. You then send the rover to pick it up. You automate it by having it drop off at the rover bay which has output belts, which you then put into an elevator back down for the refineries.
