BTC remittances makes sense, but not escrow. That would still require a trusted third party (which is fine). But Ethereum has smart contracts so escrow payouts can be programmed in without the need of a trusted third party. Bitcoin cannot do this.

5:40 WLF is on Ethereum btw and there is no "bank" issuing the coins, WLF deployed a smart contract which is basically a turn-based app that can't be stopped or deleted without stopping / deleting the entire network.
