I can barely hear them speak with their music blaring in the background. As much as I love their music it would be nice to hear what they have to say! So annoying 🙄

Gothic is so far from Electric that they probably lost all goth fans in 1987. Sisters of Mercy also went into heavy sound. All goth bands should have come up with something new in late 80s rather than moving into heavy rock.

I wouldn’t have described Floodland as a heavy album in rock terms, though it was a dense album. Neither the Sisters or the Cult considered themselves Goth, that was just the music press.

What's so wrong with heavy rock? Ian and Billy hated labels anyway. The media love to pigeonhole bands and their music. So what if they prefer blues rock or rock and roll! I believe they did the right thing. It was a brave move on their part and the fact they are still recording (albeit with a few breaks in between) speaks volumes about this brave move. They are now into their tenth album release and stronger than ever! I admire their courage and tenacity to stick with it! Ian and Billy have braved the choppy world of the music business and survived to tell the tale! I love them both and they deserve our respect!

If they kept bring out Love and First & Last & Always every couple of years they'd still get slagged for it. Seems like certain sections of the goth scene just fucking whine all the time and it's pathetic. The sisters sound evolved but still has that groove and Billy Duffy was a fan of hard Rock anyway.
