The blend of speed and power is almost unmatched. Adrian Peterson was a great blend of both as well, but it was a little slower and not as strong and that is saying something because that dude was a monster in the NFL and college. Bo just ran people over like it was not problem, only one play in this highlight film did he not blow by everyone. I mean he looked so much faster that many times you could see people sprint for an angle and they still couldn't get him. Dude was a straight monster.

I had the privilege of watching Bo Jackson play at Legion Field against my alma mater, the University of Alabama. Amazingly, we won - because of one of the most ridiculous coaching calls of all time. Bo Jackson OWNED us, ran over us like a train every time he had the ball. At fourth and goal for the winning touchdown, Pat Dye faked Jackson up the middle and swept Brent Fullwood right with the ball. Rory Turner "waxed the dude" at the one. Bama won. Damnedest thing I ever saw. We hooted and spewed trash at the losers... Now I'm an old guy, and I realize the history I was watching. Bo Jackson is the greatest athlete to ever strap up shoes - and I saw him when he was a kid - so was I. There are many experiences I'm grateful for. This is one.

Such disrespect, Bo was awesome but he wasn't the prototype, that would be Jim Brown. Understand, cinder tracks are not as fast a surface as synthetic rubber, and grass is not as fast as artificial turf. Yet Jim still clocked 9.6 at 100yds. Imagine what his time would have been on the newer surfaces. Also, OJ's World-class Olympic speed puts him first. Nothing against Bo. An OU freshman back named Marcus Dupree was just as awesome as Bo on the football field while sharing carries with 3 other backs in the wishbone, prompting Switzer to switch to the I-Formation the following year. But Dupree was manipulated and misinformed by a Mississippi grifter and didn't return.
