This (their version of a "pop" song) is so well choreographed. Drums and base to start, then acoustic guitar, followed by keyboards, and finally the lead guitar...in fact, we don't even hear Robert Smith's incredible voice until a full minute into the song (which is one of his song writing characteristics). The range of music this band has put out for 43 years is incredible. Listen to live recordings of The Forest or Push, and then put on Fascination Street or Pictures of You...or, better yet, watch their concert in Orange, France on here...Dang, such an underrated band. No way they're not a top 10 group of all time ! I saw them 3 times in concert...about 97 times less than I shoud have !!

I bought a Ford fiesta in 1989..there was this cassette tape inside lying on the floor..i.picked it up..wiped it off and put it in the cassette deck and the rest was history.. It was the cure live...I fell in love w them...I played that cassette over and over and over...amazing music

I saw the Cure perform in a small club in Sydney Australia in 1983. There was no stage . Only 50 people in the audience . I stood about 2 metres in front of them . Their performance was faultless .

I was 14 years old and remember this Video Music awards performance like it was yesterday. Some context: they were on The Prayer Tour in the US and just played Dodgers Stadium in LA and sold it out prior to this performance and everyone assumed they were going to play Fascination Street because the video was airing at the same time this performance happened. The fact they played a pop gem off Kiss Me instead is just testament to how eclectic & brilliant they are.

Thompson , Tolhurst and Boris getting ousted ... after all these years I still wonder what Smith was thinking - those were all Key Players in that band . You can´t expect to have a functional unit once you tear it apart , why wasn´t this obvious to him is quite beyond me .

Delhi Delirium You DO know that Tolhurst was fired because he was no longer making a contribution to the band and had a severe alcohol problem, right? Also, Porl and Boris CHOSE to leave the band for personal reasons--they weren't fired. Smith isn't to blame for any of that.

I saw them that summer when they came to Ottawa. opening act was Love and Rockets. I have been to many concerts over the years and I must say that the Cure put on one of the greatest shows I have ever seen. the encore lasted about 45 minutes. They sounded amazing through the whole concert.

Saw them in New York ( though it was The Meadowlands in NJ :-P), with Love and Rockets too. Makes me so sad, those days and friends so long gone...

I saw them that summer too in Philly, The Prayer Tour. I've seen them several times since; most recently 2-3 years ago at MSG in NYC. His voice hasn't changed a bit.

Saw them in Toronto at the old cne stadium....I didn't know about them at the time.....but I tagged along with my friends and became a huge fan after that amazing concert
